Almost as spicy as Saheeli Rai + Felidar Guardian. Splinter Twin 2: Infinite Boogaloo was a hot topic during my event and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth over that and how Standard is dead because their playsets of Copter took a dive. I even heard one guy that supposedly tore his up in a tantrum.

I'm just more disgusted at wotc pushing out 95% unplayable garbage in a set and being surprised when Spikes only use the 5% of good cards to shitstomp all over Timmy and Johnny. And they need to knock off the habit of making the 5% exclusively rare/mythics. Bring back the Urza's block days when you could crack a pack and be pulling all sorts of usables instead of now where I open packs over a trashcan.

Speaking of crap, Arther Revolt is fucking trash. Outside of Hiran, which is prob standard only, this set is even worse than battle for Zendikar, which was one of the worst ever.

Maro REALLY needs to go and they need new blood.

Tezz planewalker, Heart of Kiran, Tezzeret's Touch, Walking Ballista, Padeem, Consul of Innovation, and a bunch of other amazing blue/black cards. Got first. Prize pool had Meekstone, Foil Smuggler's Copter(Fuck), Gonti's Aether Heart, and a bunch of other decent shit.

Turn 2 Heart of Karin, turn 3 Tezzeret's Touch, turn 4 Tezzeret The Schemer is just dirty and mean and I did it several times to people.

If anyone missed it, the top 6 decks in the Pro Tour this weekend was all Mardu Vehicles.

Yeah im curious too see how the meta responds to that as mardu vehicles was the top choice vs. BG tokens and Saheeli decks. Surprise, heart of kirin is the new copter

Played Mardu in a PPTQ last weekend and didn't drop a game until finals (lost to mirror). Fumigates out of the board absolutely dominate the BG match and if you lose against Saheeli you are either a very bad player or a very, very unlucky player.

Only way mardu loses to saheeli is you draw your 7, see all lands, and decide it's a fine keep lol.

no standard zendikar fetchland reprint makes me immensely sad, it was such a godsend to be able to acquire my playset of ktk ones at cheap prices and during drafts. Now all i can do is hope that misty rainforests go below 20$ (never).

That standard season was bad enough with mono black. They already had thoughtseize and mutavault. Damnation would have put mbd over the top.

i built most of burn last year but stopped once i got up to needing guides and arid mesas, guess i made the right call on that one. this takes some of the sting out of chain lightning getting spoiled for EMA like a week after i ordered the set, lol.

i doubt we'll see standard level prices on key cards but MM15 was a pretty sizable run and put a major dent in a lot of cards when it was fresh.
