That story kind of made me shake my head. Like I understand it being definitely a powerful effect that could certainly make a lot of black decks more powerful. And black devotion was certainly quite a powerhouse then... but the 2 are somewhat nomboish. Not completely so it would still see play in the 75 maybe even a couple in the main but probably would've helped the plethora of bxx midrange/control decks more

Don't forget that Wizards already admitted Liliana of the Veil was supposed to be in M15 as well, but she was pulled due to MBD's dominance.

Well LoTV is on the MM17 packaging. I haven't seen anything related to Goyf or Noble. It makes sense for Goyf because his pricetag is still ridiculous, but Noble may not be included.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if 'goyf was still in but noble was out. The MSRP on this set is the same as the other MM's right? I forget what the MSRP was for the other MM sets exactly.

some more good stuff spoiled today, snapcaster being the big one i guess, but shifted up to mythic. path and inquisition are back in at uncommon too.

Path and inquisition are great announcements we need more money at uncommon level to make this set good like the first MM set. I don't want it to fall into the same trap as MM2015 and EM.

i'm taking a slight ding by way of the singleton misty/catacombs in my main deck, but i'll happily trade that for some cheap pickups on the rest of the zendikar fetches.

Since I didn't pay top dollar for the zendikar fetches and I wasn't trying to sell them I am ok with the price decrease. It will help me pick up the ones that I am missing. I still need to pick up a couple of JTMS and Karakas from Eternal Masters. Didn't realize their price fell so much.

cavern of souls is in, good god the amount of value in this set is insane. i don't think i've bought packs since the first return to zendikar set, but i feel like i might be able to justify it here.

...what the fuck were they thinking? nothing about these cards even looks like magic... the frame is awful, artwork is uniformly garbage, and the card names are bordering on unreadable. i think i'd actually be mad if i pulled any of these.

Those card designs and the font for the card names are pretty terrible. I don't mind the art so much some of them are kinda nice. The cards are almost unreadable though.

whaaat no way. there are so many good dark rituals there is no reason to ever use that trash... it's a CGI temple inside a garbage frame
