Top being gone will improve the viewing experience for Legacy so much.

Agreed, this is LONG overdue. I hope we start seeing decks like Goblins and Zoo show up more often now.
unless DRS also gets the axe down the line, i doubt goblins will be making a strong comeback.
man i am absolutely psyched though, never thought i'd see the day they finally kneecapped miracles.
I could care less about its effect on a specific deck type and more just how top drags out games with constant activations every fucking turn.
100%, half the reason i hate the miracles matchup is the time eaten up with constant activations. having to sit through endless durdling completely breaks my ability to stay focused. i have the same issue practicing with my friend that plays a 12post variant with tops.
As a Miracles player I'm pretty mixed. One on hand I'm getting uppercutted in the dick for playing a fair deck ruined by chucklefucks that have no business playing the deck and on the other I'm kinda okay with this since the deck requires me working at 105% all round every round as it doesn't tolerate misplays at all. Now I can justify sleeving up something more fun and stupid like Charbelcher or Food Griffin.
Joe Lossett on suicide watch?
Did a pre-release. Person beside me has never been to one. Passing kits down the table, I pass them their pack, they open an Egyptian Force of Will and are extremely confused by it and asking if its any good. Internal rage ensues.
I'm not allowed to be jealous of other people opening value?
i don't care what price tag is attached to it, that card is nothing to be jealous of
only acceptable printings are alliances, or to a lesser extent, the EMA version (JP onry though)
Legacy was already becoming BGx midrange soup thanks to Leovold and friends. Miracles getting the axe just pushes it further in that direction. Also, expect to see a lot of combo now. Elves had an atrocious Miracles matchup, but kicks the shit out of most Delver lists.
Jealousy is one thing. You said rage. I have been jealous plenty of times of peoples luck but the only time I was actually mad was when my friend opened double 'goyfs at the MM release event and didn't even want them and only went to the event because I convinced him. I almost paid his entry fee too for his cards before hand but didn't.
The only time I was legit angry/mad during any magic event was when I was doing draft, and my bestfriend from another pod, 20feet away calls me to tell me he opened a high value card(can't remember what it was but at the time I think it was like a 120 dollar card), calls me a bitch and then hangs up.
I did that to him when I pulled an invention lotus petal but he didn't react in anyway thus harshing my revenge buzz.
if the top ban means more elves and less delver, i enthusiastically welcome the new post-miracles legacy meta.
of course my store runs modern/frontier on the last weekend of the month so i'll have to wait another week to give it a go
I remember during during a Nemesis prelease at a local shop I drafted Rootwater Thief and Tanglewire. Had a judge called when I declared Barbwire as one of the targets during my upkeep and the chucklefuck of a judge told me it was an illegal target because "hurr you can't tap an artifact if it doesn't have a tap ability!". Was pissed enough to grab my shit, tear up the Rootwater to the horror of everyone that was lining up to buy it for 25-30 bucks, and told the store employee/judge to blow it out his ass and left. Wasn't allowed back for like a month lol
I was still fairly new at the game but man I was super pissed since I busted my ass learning how cards worked. I mean, there was a reason why Winter/Static Orb + Opposition was a zomg wombo combo back then.
But wait, there's more!

Standard:
Felidar Guardian BANNED (starting Friday)
OK I'm not up on standard, why is a supremely shitty version of Restoration Angel being banned?
Also, how many people did they just fuck over because they built a deck in response to the Monday announcement
Oh.
Looking at the cards now, why the fuck have they waited this long to ban it?
