Holy Shit
A balanced Gaea's Cradle is still really fucking good, go figure.

Saw that as well during the reveal, it's crazy good. And it looks like it's only Rare.
Just watched that Arena stream. We Hearthstone now, bois.
That card costs about 1 too much to be good in standard, unless like....every card in next Standard is total ass.
turn 3: play Growing rights get a creature.
turn 4: concede because your opponent is playing mardu vehicles
Right, the card is most likely EDH fodder.
Maro must have gotten hit by a bus because they're reprinting Mana Drain.
mana drain always seemed like a pretty safe reprint since it'll never be legal outside of vintage. plus they already did a judge promo for it too relatively recently iirc
Iconic Masters set
hot damn why didn't anyone disclose the real news: they're reprinting motherfucking glimpse the unthinkable! i am legit super hyped for this, lol.
Lol their card image gallery for Iconic Masters on their website is broken. Is this set going to be similar to MM and LM sets? 24 booster packs to a box MSRP of ~$10 per pack or something like that?
lolEDH disclaimer.
Drain is really good in EDH. It's one of those things that a lot of people just didn't bother to get because it's so expensive, but when an entire playgroup has it, it can be kind of degenerate.
Honestly, standard is shaping up to be pretty nice. We have the first real cantrip in god knows how long plus pirates is trying really hard to be Lorwyn era Faeries.
Tip: Mana Drain is good in any format you can cast it lol.
Shit it's better then when it was originally introduced since they removed mana burn. And back then it was good enough to get banned.
Other things have changed too though. I'm sure it's great in ehd... but in vintage it's more like ok. At least currently most decks that use blue seem to have extremely hunger color requirements or are pure comboish. That and just how low curves are and how fast and degenerate or hateful things can be in general want most your counter magic to cost 1 or 0. Still nice to have a decent somewhat expensive card. Though on that line also super happy about flusterstorm and cryptic
Really like how they kept this semi secret though. And new spirit dragon arts are amazing
also as strange as it is, but i think this is our first magic set without any planeswalkers since eventide? i cant think of any regular or supplemental sets without them.
So I'm starting to look into selling my old collection.
Fucking shipping and margins. And it looks like the only way to get the value I need out of it is selling it as singles, even the C/U stuff.
