It appears EDH players, like Krandor mentioned, which is such a small target audience that it is baffling. One of the biggest retailers mentioned that Iconic Masters sold 9% of the total that Modern Masters 2017 did. I can't see this even selling that %. Rudy was selling Iconic Masters boxes recently for $80 shipped.

I know you guys love to scapegoat EDH players in this thread, but this is for (not very smart)limited players. I've been seeing loads of idiots on reddit and twitter saying they don't see a problem with this and that it looks like it will be fun to draft.

The set looks sweet for limited, and i'll probably do phantom queues on mtgo. At least that way i'll feel great if I open an akroma.

Yeah except no one wants to draft at the prices these sets cost. Even in Cape Cod (i.e. rich white person central) people wouldn't draft the previous Masters sets because they're just too expensive. And with the EVEN worse EV for this set there's even less incentive to play limited.

So, I'm a big fan and heavy advocate of Reddit. /r/Magictcg is an absolutely abysmal sub. If you post anything remotely offensive or even mention the (very accurate) topics that MTGLion/Unsleeved Media/Alpha Investments bring up, you just get straight up banned. If you mention EV or how bad a set is, you get down-voted or straight banned. This is a major issue, since the lead over at Wizards recently said that he gathers his feedback from that sub. The sub is filled with awful SJWs.

This has changed A BIT, given just how awful M25 looks. Most of the negative comments earlier in the week that were getting down-voted are now getting up-voted. I think people kept thinking, "hey, its got to get better at the end", and it only got much worse.

M25 would be fine at regular retail prices I think... The set definitely doesn't command the premium price like other Masters sets have. Also where can I get Iconic Masters at $80 a box shipped? That is low enough for me to grab a box for fun.

Rudy at Alpha Investments was selling them for that recently. Just search him on YouTube. I think he sells locally in Jacksonville Fl, but also through EBay? Not certain.

He does box openings all the time for people who buy online then ships them the opened product.

Other then FNM drafts the only thing people played here is fucking EDH bullshit. Definitely a huge factor in why I cashed out and sold all my cards, no reason to hold onto thousands of dollars worth of cards if I had no use for em.

Speaking of, had found another binder buried in a closet last weekend and priced it out, should come out to over $600 bucks once Card Kingdom finishes grading everything.

Legacy is 2x a week at my closest shop. They allow up to 10 proxies though. Legacy staples are the prize support.

Every place I've done legacy at regularly usually allowed at least 4-8 proxies.

Ain't no way I was paying for 4x Karakus for nothing more then casuals

plebe status! i've played at like four different venues in the area and i don't think i've ever seen proxies in legacy, except rarely in casuals between rounds.

Plebe! lol. My collection will put 99% of players' cards to shame, including many shops/vendors. It is just a way to help get tourneys to fire for the best format in Magic, besides Cube!

There's a Legacy FNM a county over that I've been to a few times, but I can't do paper magic anymore. The wait time in between rounds because theres always one asshole going to time is unbearable. Online has spoiled me.
