While you're at it, take all the black out for white. lol![]()
So far the deck has been doing well enough against a variety of decks I don't think I am going to do anything as drastic as taking a color out or adding a new color. Though it does seem the natural progression of the deck is moving away from hand disruption and more towards control. Hand disruption is great for early game but as soon as the player is playing from the top of the deck it kinda loses something.
On a side note has anyone ever made a deck where all the creatures are relentless rats? I wanted to make a joke deck that is basically mana and relentless rats.
(The rats say you can have any number of cards in your deck named relentless rats in case someone doesn't know.)
Lol...
20 Swamp
4 Dark Ritual
4 Necropotence
32 Relentless Rats!!!!
Necro is restricted![]()
That is why sometimes I just like to play with my friends we choose to not follow the restricted/banned list when just playing at home.
This new black/blue deck I am building is specifically a deck for the FNM tournaments. I am being careful about what I put in it.
God relentless rats is such a cool card in theory but having only 4 of them so far they are completely useless to me. I guess I will keep collecting them.
Yeah I kinda wanna start collecting them so I can make a relentless rats deck with coat of arms. Shit, thrumming stone LOL.
I made that deck that was listed above with 32 relentless rats... Except only 1 necropotence.
I won vs white & blue T2 deck. I was like... Are you srs? =/
Seems like....Day of Judgement = win....lol
lol awesome. That motivates me even more to try it out. My deck is coming along nicely. With the help of my friends I finished filling it out for the most part on the cards I was missing I just need to refine it slightly and cut it back down closer to somewhere between 70 and 80 cards max.
It depends I have some decks that stick to exactly 60 cards and work great and I have others that are in the 70-80 card range and work really well too.
Though usually a 60 card deck is faster and more refined.
Edit: Cut it down to 65 cards I am going to stop messing with it until I get to play someone again to see how it is. I think I am a little bit light on lands right now so I have to see what the card distribution is during gameplay.
60 is more consistent and it's easier to figure out land/nonland ratio and stuff.
Oh yeah I totally agree with you. I just have cards that are so cool that fit into the deck I need to convince myself to cut them out of it and keep refining it down.
Edit: Down to 60 cards now. Just need to play with it and see how it does in its cut down version and then build a sideboard for it.
Took my blue/black control deck to a FNM tournament last night and did reasonably well, the only deck that destroyed me was a deck destruction deck. The other losses I experienced were close.
Out of ~35 people I ended up around 10th place I think. Which everyone told me was decent for my first time at this card shop.
So I'm playing a daily with a mono green eldrazi deck against jund, I've managed to stabilize kind of after thought hemm took all my titans and obstinate baloths, his board is full of shit with no cards in hand and I have a pelakka worm and 10 mana in play with ulamog in my hand, if I draw a land I stabilize. I draw a Khalni Garden.... I then look at my next card, All is Dust. The moral? Never look at your next card.
, always play it out man.
