Are they serious? I see no reason for people to buy booster boxes, as almost all of the mythics revealed so far (other than the artifact creature, which is a pre-release promo lol - and Koth/Elspeth(maybe)) are absolutely horrendous in constructed play.

Draft should be fun at least.

Those are common/uncommon. If you want 4 foil Chinese ones you can get them for $2 a set online. I know a lot of people who were saying, "I'm saving my $ by not buying M11 boxes and buying a case of Scars."

Have fun with that, M11 overpowers the spoiler so far by leaps and bounds.

If there aren't artifact lands, a lot of the stuff is null and void.

So I just came back from the shop and bought a couple of boosters, 1st one I open, my very first primeval titan. Feels good.

I didn't come here only to brag though. I asked them to order some WWK so I could get me a Jace, but i'm wondering is it rotating out? Because it struck me odd when he said he wasn't planning on ordering any but he'd do it for me.

Crazy question.. I still have boxes of cards from back when I used to play (we're talking from Unlimited to Mirrodin Block) plus some collectors edition decks. Would anyone want to buy this stuff? If you need something specific let me know and I'll take a look. I'll put a list together of the binder stuff later (rares, foils, tourney prizes, non-english), but if you need something that's common or uncommon chances are I have it.

so I'm really new to MtG, was wondering. Is approx 300 random cards (a handful of rares) from unhinged/unglued enough to use for a junkbox game?

also olo if you have any theme decks from around shadowmoor we have been doing quick games with the theme decks from eventide and shadowmoor, so if you have any from around then that might work well (we roll dice to select a random deck and play form there) more decks would spice it up some.

Shadowmoor & Eventide are both after my time. I think the newest stuff I have is like maybe 3 packs worth of cards from the first Kamigawa expansion.

What's a junkbox game? Imo the only real way to play unhinged or unglued is booster draft yo.

rules vary from person to person apparently, but basically all the cards are in the box, and you either draw a full deck from it at the beginning, or just a hand and it's communal deck for everyone with various tweaks and rules depending on the sets being used, number of players, and so on

It's just for fun pick-up style games, not anything too serious, which is why I'm making an unhinged/unglued box

My friend at his house has a huge collection of cards spanning across a lot of different series. Sometimes we sort them by color and pile all of his cards up on his ping pong table. Then we play a modified draft game where each person has three minutes to build the best 60 card deck out of the piles. It is really fun and crazy, three minutes is not enough time and you have to go through the cards really fast. (You just need regular cards and then get to add lands to your deck after your three minutes).
