I don't organize mine at all, I need to get a binder

I organize by set/color/alphabetical using cardboard boxes for like uncommons/commons. I have a rare binder for each block.

Been curious for a while. How does everyone sort their cards, and what do you keep your collection in?

Personally, I sort by color, then card type, then alphabetically, but I'm starting to think about sorting by CMC as well, like maybe card type, then CMC, then alpha. As for storage, I just use some of those long cardboard cases.

Been a while since I went through them, but commons & uncommons I have separated by Color | WB or BB | Expansion. I don't have many rares left but they're mostly sorted by color only.

If events weren't so far away I'd totally go to them . There was a guy thatplays at the stores near us that placed 6th in states. He lost in top8 because he tried to kill ulamog with valakut triggers.

Guys I need your help

Singleton next friday, I have no deck idea. At all. Not even a general idea of a color good for singleton.

I dunno what EDH is, but basically we gotta have a 60 cards deck, no more than 1 copy of any card (including relentless rats) allowed except for basic lands, and they have to be T2 legal.

EDIT: I just checked google for EDH and no it's not that. We don't need a general.
I just thought of something too... Would trying to RDW it up be good? Like Lightning bolt, burst lightning, arc trail, galvanic blast, goblin guide... All the cheap and direct dmg stuff I can find?

RDW relies on consistency. Your best bet is to run UW control imo. You have Negate, Stoic rebuttal, cancel, spell pierce, flash freeze, deprive, mana leak. You also have a bunch of PWs to chose from. 2 jaces, elspeth, venser, gideon. Jace's ingenuity, out, condemn, day, sunblast angel, journey to nowhere, all as removal. This list would probably be expensive as fizuck, and you are probably broke, so... Hmmm... It's hard to make a singleton without any bombs. I could help theorycraft with you if you can tell me what kind of cardpool you have.

Went 5-1-2, and I was 1 turn from winning both my ties for top 8. Royally fucked.....

Edit - I played Black/Blue control

My only loss came to Lewis Laskin (creator of SuperFriends), but game 3 I would have bet my bank account I would have won with the given board position. He top decked 4 turns in a row.

U/B control is pretty sick. I was playing U/W against it for playtesting and it gave me a lot of trouble. Good thing I am playing valakut soon. Auto-pilot deck is auto-pilot.

Looks like a good start except I would put flashfreeze sb. Should I bother putting a wall of omen/BSA/frost/sun titan?

Cardpool I have every common/uncommon of M11, Scars, Zen, most of RoE and very little WWK since I can't get my hands on any. As for *big* rares I have all but grave titans, BSA, Koth, Elspeth, Venser, Ajani, Garruk, Nessa, Jace Beleren, Liliana Vess, Lotus Cobra, Fauna Shaman, a bunch of fetch lands, sword of the body and mind, blight dragon, wyrmcoil engine... I think that's about it.

Just no. U/W is awful right now. Sure, it took a couple of states, but it was one of the most played decks and took home about the same number of states as U/B control which had an infinitely smaller % of the field.

I played U/W twice in SCG FNM and twice in the standard open; I demonlished them all 4 times like it was nothing. The new Elspeth is just absolutely awful right now, and Venser is too cute and too expensive for what he does. Wall of Omens is trash in the currently format (when it can't even stop elves, boros, WW, or red....whats the fuggin point people?).

Baneslayer and Sun Titan lose to counterspells, Voilition Reins, or Doom Blade (the best removal in the format, which is why everyone is moving to U/B control).

Creeping Tar Pit is also insanely better than Collonade is right now.


Lets examine Wall of Omens:

U/B control: Worthless. Wurmcoil/Creeping Tar/Grave Titan/Frost Titan all trounce it
Boros: Adventuring Gear, Step Lynx, Double Strike Card, Goblin Guide+Bolt/Shock, Protection from X white card, and the 1/3 red creature all trounce it
RDW: Doesn't do anything against Koth/Double Strike
Big Red: Wurmcoil/Koth/Masticore - Enough said
Eldrazi Green: Lol....
Valakut: Lol....
U/W Control: Lol....
Elves: Wins by Overrunning multiple times; Wall = Worthless
White Weenie: Wins with Argent Armor or whatever the +6/+6 is with Stoneforge

Result: If you are playing Wall of Omens in the current format, you are playing 4 dead cards, and you need to learn analyze things a little better >_>
