The trick to Weltall is to avoid getting hung up in the delivery, and try to focus on the message. He often has useful things to say, he's just not very good at saying them in a way that doesn't come off like a massive cock craving faggot (to borrow a phrasing)

If you have an issue with him, take it to PM, or message a mod. Don't derail a thread with it please.

. Tampa is like 2hrs from me and I haven't gone lol.

Has anyone tried the MTG on XBL? Took me a little while to get over not being able to build decks, but it's good for when I want to remember the times when I played.

My wife and I buy booster packs occassionaly, but I haven't really played since the Onslaught block. While in the Navy on cruise, we played a bastardized version of Legacy. Anyone with cards could build a deck and come play. It was interesting to find out just how many Magic geeks were on the boat.

The GPs are actually even closer to you, they're actually held in Palmetto. It's right down the road from me.

On an unrelated note, you cannot optimally build a SOM sealed deck in 20 minutes. Also I just beat a guy who went turn 3 Molten Tail Masticore turn 4 Elspeth Tirel. Feels good man.

If anyone plays magic online now is the time. With the release event sealed payouts all you have to do is 3-1 and you can play infinite release events. Great way to build a collection.

I just got called a noob for not charging my ratchet bomb then proceeding to blow out my opponent when he tried to block with chimeric mass. hahaha

I witnessed something just as good at a Lotus tournament (Legacy) I went to on Saturday:

Merfolk guy casts Standstill. Then casts Standstill.

I managed to make top 8 but lost in the first round to someone I beat in Swiss. Did manage a turn 3 kill (I played Survival Madness) and 2-0'd Cedric Phillips.

I haven't yet, but mainly because I don't have an XBawks. I plan on getting it when its finally released on PS3 though.

There seems to be a strong magic presence in the military world since we get quite a few from the army at the store I go to (not too far from Fort Lewis).

Almost X-0'd with Argentum Armor deck lol. Lost to 1 guy in swiss. I won in op 8 and split top 4.

What list did you run? I don't normally play T2 but was thinking about playing that for the Game Day Event. Seems like a fun deck and pretty easy to put together unless it runs Mox (waiting for price to drop more before I pick them up for Legacy Affinity).

Mainly looking for something decent and fun that doesn't involve expensive cards only good in standard (Primeval Titan for example). If all else fails I'll go for UW Control using Jace for the kill.

It runs mox opal, but you can sub in chimeric mass for budgeting. It's still kind of an expensive deck, as it runs 8 fetches. But here's the list:

So last night I got a bunch of SoM boosters and ended up with 1 Skithiryx Dragon and 1 Indomitable Archangel and also Mindslaver. I was thinking about building a W/B/Artifact deck centered around those cards. I have a lot of the artifact creatures and black creatures with infect and proliferate so there might be something there. I also have 3 phylactery liches the 5/5 for 3 black mana that are indestructible.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as a starting point? Or am I completely off base and there is no room for a deck centered around those cards.

Malakir Bloodwitch is a really bad 5 drop right now. I would replace that unless you add more vamps (the 1 drop one is amazing), and I would take out the Grim Discovery and 1 Sword for Captivating Vamp.

I would also find a way to add the rare vamp that you pay one black to deal 2 and gain 2. It is really good against wratch/all is dust.
