Oh yeah, it's funny lol. My friend and I were playtesting, and he was playing U/B. The whole game he was like "GDI DOOMBLADE GET OUT OF MY HAND FFFFUUUU"

This is the exact mentality that get's people blindsided by decks, but whatever I'll just continue to win 8 mans with it. Although the fact that you think WW quest is top tier is a bit revealing, it's basically a coin flip deck.

Edit: I feel the need to elaborate a little more. I don't play mono green eldrazi because I'm zealous about the deck or anything, I play it because in my testing I've done pretty well online. It also may be a product of me playing online where the meta is a lot more fluid and it helps to have a consistent deck with good answers to most of what can happen. When I stop having favorable results with the deck I'll stop playing it.

I've heard B/R vamps is a bit better, mark of mutiny destroys the titans and wurmcoils when you have a viscera or blood throne out. Also just having access to the man land really improves your reach, especially when facing post board sweep spells.

The deck is built around 3 manacost curve, mandland makes it eh and I would much rather have bolt and mark of mutiny be a creature. Captivating vamp steals creatures permanently.

A lot has to go right to have 5 Vampires out against most decks I would figure, I think I'd rather have mutiny since it's always good. I could 100% wrong though I haven't played the deck.

Picked up Duel of the Planeswalkers on PS3 yesterday and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I'm still working on learning the timing of things and the one I can't seem to get is declaring blockers then using abilities before damage. Like I block with Bottle Gnomes and want to sac it for the life before damage.

It might just be glitched though since I was still getting hit by Double Strike even though my creature died to First Strike damage.

There's a phase after you declare blockers, but before damage is dealt, where your creatures with abilities should get an orange highlight of sorts, indicating that their abilities may be used. If it's anything like the PC version, you have to do the double-click equivalent on your creature during this (short phase), because once the game moves into the damage step, you won't get a chance.

The same goes for regeneration. It seems like you have to regenerate BEFORE damage is dealt, because once lethal damage goes through, you won't get a chance to regenerate.

lol, I've never been blindsided by Eldrazi Green because I know exactly how to beat it. Enjoy your FNM 8 mans that mean very little. As for WW quest/Boros, it's more viable than Eldrazi Green for sure. You can say all decks are a coin flip if you're talking about getting the cards that you need in draw to win.

I've been taking both Valakut Titan and RUG to FNM for the last several weeks and been doing consistently well with both. With my meta strongly mixed with jank, T2, and T1 coupled with top 10 state players it covers a wide area. Between me, Sturgeon, Contreras, and Harleman we end up covering the top 5 and we all pilot the T1 pretty well. Only thing that hasn't done well has been BUG Control, mainly because it shines in a strong control environ and the other 20-30 people bring shit aggro constantly. And the best killer I've seen against RUG has been Sword of Body and Mind. It just decimates RUG and other strong blue decks something terrible.

And Tricen, Valakut *NEEDS* table shuffling after every game otherwise it clumps like a motherfucker. Otherwise you'll just get ragehands.

I am a pro shuffler no doubt, but I don't really table shuffle. Hmmmmmm, I should reconsider it then.

Learn to read? I don't play paper magic. As for WW quest, it's more of a coin flip because the right cards have to be in your opener and it has some abysmal top decks.

It's definitely not a coin flip. Kor outfitter + Stoneforge = fairly dead opponent. You can even just outright aggro your opponent out.

When has the number of people playing at a location became important? You're sure as fuck not gonna play 40 x 3 matches.

Lol, I give up with you. More players = better top 8 obviously....freaking genius we have on our hands here guys.

Is your avatar a self-portrait? Likely.

Also, with more players you play 5-7 rounds, not 3.

Because RUG isn't the same everywhere, and please, DO give up,I never asked you anything specificaly. You're the one that came at me like FNM is an elite level of play.

No sir, I did not. Rofl.

Every RUG variant is 95% the same deck.

The number of people matter because the more people at an event, the player level, regardless of deck choice, is likely to be much higher.

Christ on a daisy chain, both of you stop it.

Subzero: Grudges are for kids. Grow up.

    Weltall: Stop provoking him

    Back on topic...
