Yeah, part of me wonders just how close we are to churning out bipedal robots, even if it's of the sluggish Big O variety. That one image of seeing it from the interstate was pretty funny, though. Coolest thing I ever get to see on the road around her is some roadkill.

Actually, they do have a sizeable military. Its just not called the military due to Article 9 of their constitution stating they can't have an aggressive military. Additionally, it states Japan can't spend more than like 2% of their gross domestic income on any type of military, but Japan's GDP is so large that well... even a small % is billions of dollars.

Japan calls their military a "Self-Defense Force" (which is just a navy, army, airforce, ect). But, its basically a military that is prepared to do all the things normal militaries do at the drop of a hat. Its a source of conflict with China and Korea.
