Meh, I've heard of crazier shit happening, a dude in my college died some years ago after someone just pushed him. he stumbled, fell, hit his head, died.

a guaranteed way of making someone fall and have a really hard time catching themselves is to send a high voltage electrical current through their body.

I don't see why tasing people receives media attention. It's a non-lethal, non-harmful method of subduing someone. It has a very very low probability of causing harm or death, despite the skewed media coverage of every one of those times when it involves the elderly, children, or minorities.

Oh, and this cop is a terrorist because he was trying to use force to stop something from happening.
    I officially endorse this post.

    It's non-lethal except for when it's lethal.

Unless she pushed him into traffic or spun out of his grasp into traffic.

Watch the video of the incident...saying she pushed him into traffic or jumped into traffic...is a massive exaggeration.

Did you also forget he tried to restrain her at least once and she twisted out of it?

Water is lethal. Everything is lethal. It's just some things have a lot lower probability of killing you than others.

Speaking of 72 year olds, wheres that article about that 80 year old that killed a cougar with a pocket knife, or the one that fended off some muggers?

Old people aren't all weak, fragile, peacable people!

that mustve been why I forgot she was a ninja. Since, you know, she's a ninja.

Mod, can we get a title change? 'Oh Texas' doesn't accurately reflect the amount of ninja that is going on in here.

Such an odd time for this to come up...

The lady that babysat me most of my life is like 97 now, and the last time I talked to her she was still walking a couple miles a day, and did tons of volunteer work, and even worked as a sample giver at Sams sometimes.

At 72, she could definitely have kicked your average fat lazy cop's ass, but would've been no match for one that was in good shape.

And, the reason it's such an odd time for this to come up... is because she goes to the same church Dr. Tiller went to...

    lol @ the title change.

Regardless. A struggle would present a lot of variables that could endanger other people on the roads whether you think it would have happened or not.

There's not much difference between a taser death, a drowning, accidentally mixing the wrong meds, getting hit while crossing the street, or having a heart attack on an amusement park ride.

Ok, so there's a difference in the circumstances, but nobody expects a taser death just as nobody expects any of the other deaths. Shit happens. For the majority of people, tasing is just an uncomfortable experience.

In fact, I bet more people die from those other causes than tasing, but I'd just be pulling stats out of my ass at that point. It's still a bet I'd make, though.

It'd never have passed approval as a legal method of subduing someone if it had anything but a negligible fatality rate. Unless you think regulation of this sort of thing is more lax than, say, FDA approvals or other safety-related regulations.
