If you want the game and have the PC to back it up, the answer is ALWAYS PC. Origin/Battlelog isn't that much of a pain in the ass to deal with. I just bought it yesterday but I dealt with it all through the beta so I have a fair amount of experience with it.

I absolutely do have the PC/connection. Thanks for answering the first part, but the most important part... do I go out of my way and get limited edition for the extra map? Is it worth it? Or just go with the regular? I'm so impatient right atm lol, I really want to fuckin' play online multiplayer.

Edit: come on, i'm falling asleep here just waiting for an answer.

Definitely go with the limited edition if you can, the BtK maps are a lot more fun than the base maps and it adds a lot to the game.

EDIT: Goddamn got kicked when I was on such a good fucking roll. The cliff level on rush is a sniper's paradise when you're defending.

In pub games at least, too many people are worried about their k/d to use stuff like MAV and SOFLAM. All I ever see are people saying stuff like "c'mon, someone laze shit" or "it'd be real nice if someone would laze some stuff for me to blow up". Everyone always wants to do the killing, but nobody will step up to the plate and take a hit on their kill count to laze for other people.

The only time I EVER equip the Javelin, for example, is when I'm playing with my RL friends who I KNOW will laze shit.

People use the MAV FOR their kills. I see recon guys running around with the MAV all the time, getting kills by just barreling into someone. Its annoying as fuck.

I really wish spotting gave more than 10 points. They should make it a viable source of points so people do it. They did a good job for med kits and revives in that regard.

Well, one perk for lazing is, you get 10 points for designating a target, then another 50 (or 70?) if someone hits your target with a laser-guided or IR missile while you have it lazed, plus whatever 20-point kill assists you get for passengers killed. But it's not enough.

I occasionally hop in the third seat of a random tank and laze for people, but either nobody reacts and actually makes use of it, or it's so inconsistant it feels like a waste of time.

And yeah, MAV should be used the way it's intended, it's such a powerful tool.

I get sick of joining games where people are begging for some LDs, so I start designating and no one does shit. Frustrating as hell.

On another note: The fucking L85 owns. I killed an entire team in Rush from a window using the ACOG. Fucking beast of a rifle.

I usually use the MAV for spotting, although I do occasionally run over snipers or people pinning down my squad/teammates.

Does anybody else fucking hate Wake Island? That map is such bullshit every time I play it because nobody on my team ever knows how to fucking give air support. And I sure as hell can't fly a fucking jet.
