Had the best-ever Jav kill last night.
I was US side, Noshahr Canals map. My team was dominating, so RU was forced to spawn only in their uncap. I was at the Canals cap point, the one that's right down the road from the RU uncap. I climbed up to the second floor of one of those little trailer-looking buildings and went to pull out my SMAW at the window, only to find I had forgotten to take off my Jav. Oh well... a jeep full of guys came out of their base and I barely had time to lock onto it as it passed ... I fired anyway, thinking the Jav would just hit the ground and the jeep would get away without damage. But no, the Jav did a real sharp U-turn, flew about an inch off the road, and killed all three of the guys and the jeep.
I got banned 10 seconds later for "insta-Jav hack". Fucking butthurt admins. -_-
had a fantastic (for me) game yesterday.

What's peoples favourite set up on tanks? I'm looking at set ups depending on whether I have a friend gunning for (ie I don't have to worry too much about infantry)
Also I've read that people love the canister shell but I don't know anyone with it nor have I been killed with it. Can anyone give me any more details on it? Can you aim it or is it fixed? Range?
Thanks
I do radar, LMG, IR smoke.
Radar has saved me countless times from Support class attacks, as well as letting me hunt people trying to hide. I particularly love it at the crates in Nashar Canals. Even if the enemy is unreachable with my tank, it gives great support to the troops around me.
I pick LMG over HMG because I typically sprint around quite a bit and my accuracy isn't so great with the slow rate of fire on the HMG.
IR smoke so I can cover either myself or a teammate repairing me in the thick of battle.
I use the cannister and thermal.
Thermal is just fucking awesome for finding people. Remember all the rage from people over IRNV scoped ARs? It's just as good in tanks.
Cannister shell is awesome for taking out infantry. It fires out of the main gun just with a different shell. But it's kind of broken because you can fire the main gun then switch to the cannister shell and fire that with little reload time. You can just keep switching back and forth firing a lot more quickly than most people expect.
*edit* I also tend to play more of a medium+ range with a tank. Too many people loving running tanks up into the enemy encampments.
Tank setup will vary depending on map focus. Maps like Karkand and Grand Bazaar (for the IFV, anyway) should definitely have something like Prox Scan and LMG. Armor-heavy maps, I tend to go Autoloader, Guided Shell, Reactive Armor (though since laser designation is getting more popular, I might start going IR Smoke a lot more). Being able to load and fire at tanks almost twice as fast as they can fire at you has real value if you know you're going to be up against tanks.
Canister Shell is really nice for when there's a low-flying attack chopper harassing you. And if there's ANY chance someone's going to be lasing, never leave home without the Guided Shell, shit is THAT good.
For MBT I use thermal, guided shell, and reactive armor.
Anyone play in squads that I could join? Playing alone has caused me to degenerate into a dirty player.
Playing with some peeps that I frequent with right now. PC (sometimes brobox) onry! Hit me up SN: Misterjingles
Sorry for running over you with my tank Asilius.![]()
That was fun, will def play again soon.
Seems like the teams I get into get base raped way too often. it's really fucking annoying.
sorry jingles, I forgot to turn off the bf3 signal the other day
