This can happen if you happen to fly in between the jav after its been launched and its intended target, it'll lock on to you instead. Can also happen with stingers/heat seekers.

New Battlefield 3 DLC will be announced in New York next week, EA has suggested during an overnight call with investors.

Responding to a question about DLC for titles including FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3, EA VP of Investor Relations Peter C. Ausnit said: "You're going to hear some announcements from us on Battlefield actually as early as next week in an event we've got in New York."

Ausnit didn't offer any further details.

Rumours suggest DICE is preparing an All American DLC pack, featuring maps set in New York, Miami, New Jersey and San Francisco. A NYC press event would be the perfect time to reveal such an add-on.

Eh, anyone sniper worth anything has managed to take me out. Mortar on the other hand completely rapes roof top snipers. Also, was USAS Frags still that good after the first nerf to require a second nerf?

On ps3 usas/frag rapes. Can't tell you how many times someone snipes me 100+ meters away. Don't even need to get hit by the slug, the splash damage is usually enough to kill me.

That aggressive recon guy is crazy. I've gotten some good shots before, but I can hardly no scope anyone, especially while parachuting and with a bolt action rifle. The giant recon vid is hilariously creepy as well.

I'm not thrilled about buying map packs, but having some American city type maps would be awesome as long as they keep it under $15.

There's a rumor of one of the maps being New Jersey based. They should make it Atlantic City, so we can kill each other on the boardwalk. I live like 10 minutes away from Camden,NJ. They could use Camden in its current condition since it already looks like a war zone.

Mostly just want to fuck with vehicles.

one thing I really disliked about Squad DM was the fact that you had a vehicle that could dominate and it wasn't often you would get other non-team mate squads to team up to take it out. The people in the vehicle if decently skilled could keep it alive for a good amount of time avoiding your squad and racking up kills.

We figured out that you can eliminate the vehicle from the game entirely. You have to get into the IFV and then drive it out of bounds so you get the warning message telling you that you will die in 10.. 9, 8.. drive it as far as you can and then hop out before the timer runs out, the vehicle will stay on the map but be out of reach and a new one will not spawn if you hopped out in time (if you remain in it out of bounds it will explode)

So now you got 4 teams of 4 battling each other on an open playing field without the stupid IFV being whored out

That would have been a lot harder to pull off if it wasn't hardcore mode.

edit: It doesn't seem to be actual hardcore mode, but rather normal mode with 60% hp.
