I'm not going argue and say normal is harder than hardcore, but aggressive recon is harder on normal than it is on hardcore. Aggressive recon on hardcore is basically easy mode.
Just bought this for pc this morning, installing right now, 15gb in an hour, not too long to wait. Ended up getting that promo code for 15% from ea for my birthday, thanks whoever posted that earlier in this thread.
Will be lookin for some people to play with, i'll my name in game is djzombie83
Is there any special codes you have to enter or when it asks for your birthday you just put in today?
Might buy my friend BF3 so I have someone extra to play with, 15% off might help. Although I think I saw a copy on amazon for $42-45 yesterday.
Yeah I signed up for origin with my birthday(you can fudge if its a new account) then made sure i checked the box that allowed them to send me promotional shit, and on jan 19th they sent me the code to redeem with my purchase, which i used today
i'd put your birthday as being at least tomorrow, maybe a couple days in the future, just to make sure
this is my problem with people who cry for hardcore, it rewards bad aim and lets people pray and spray for body shots.
I would rather win all my gun fights aiming at the head all day with my AR. If I can shoot you in the head in near the same amount of time it takes you to shoot me in the body I should be rewarded not penalized. I'm new to the BF series for the most part and have to say their damage levels are near perfect not including the lame ass 12frag shotgun shit
Just ordered a 7970 cant wait to run max out :DDDDDDDD
awesome, which one?
i am running this game maxed currently on ultra with a 6850, shouldn't be a problem for that card. i am going to ramp some stuff down, cause i am getting stuttering, at sometime crucial points in a match. and i gotta get my controller setup so i can properly fly jets til i get a joystick, just lookin for a cheap one atm.
also - just applied to the bg platoon for pc
Hardcore is the way to go regen health is just stupid makes repair tool and medpack somewhat useless, and I hate shooting someone and they just run and hide cause it takes so many dam bullets and dont even get me started about 3d spotting.
Why even have that one comma?
I didnt say medpack wasent useful it's just less useful same for the repair tool.
been looking each night for some people to play on pc with, let me know when yall play.
also just ordered a joystick and a new mouse, should hopefully help with my terrible jet flying.
I'd play if I had some damn internet!!
Hoping this shit will be installed tomorrow.
Some things about jets:
1) You'll get a lot better as you get unlocks. The jets are impossible at the beginning, since all you get is the basic gun (which takes precision aim to get kills); you don't even get basic protection right away in the form of flares.
2) Remember that zero throttle in a jet does not equal falling to the ground as it does in a chopper. Once I realized I did not really have to apply a nominal amount of throttle to stay airborne, it got a LOT easier to down helicopters with the main gun since I wasn't zooming past them at Mach 1 all the time. Also, a jet that's flying slower can maneuver a lot better and will win dogfights a lot more than a jet that's burning full throttle + the afterburner. Oh, and one more thing about the afterburner: it will take your airspeed up over 400, regardless of where your throttle is set ... so oftentimes, my throttle stays at zero while I use the afterburner to get distance to start my next pass on ground targets.
3) If you're involved in dogfights a lot, sudden unexpected changes in air speed and direction will get people off your back, particularly the "drop the throttle to zero and point your nose straight up" move. Also, one sure-fire way to get someone off you is to gain altitude as quickly as you can; somewhere around 700 feet up, you lose a lot of maneuverability (to the point where it's tough to even steer the jet anymore) ... but so does the guy that's trying to shoot you down.
4) Air Radar ... unlock it, live it, love it.
I'm by no means an ace jet pilot, but I've found all these things to be useful.
*edit*
My soldier's name is Pigfckr, feel free to add me though I haven't been playing as much lately.
