Got my 7970 on friday so I started playing and my pc kept restarting when i tryed to play bf3. ended up being my power supply so i had to get a new one got one thats 1050w gold cert. now im running cpu 4ghz gpu 1100/1500 with no problems with no volt increase! and its running awsome! <3 this card i keep fans at 55% for my profile and game temp maxes at 60 playing bf3.

Lookin for some people to play with on the PC. Origin account name is Kotlx. Casual, not ridiculously competitive but I can be with the right people. Still not cap, nor am I interested in sitting on op metro 64/64[200] just to get my p/m up.

Anyone have any suggestions on ranking up/unlocking weapons fast?

Two friends just got the game and I'm not sure what the best way for them to get some ranks and decent unlocks the fastest. They're competitive cod players so their KDR's are usually pretty good, so just need to narrow it down to what game-mode.

Also it's been a while since I've played, any preferred kit setups now that the games been patched up a bit?

I would suggest Engineer since there's always vehicles to destroy and well-placed landmines are easy xp.

I didn't mean class.

Fastest points from loadouts would be assault/support, but I meant game types, like squad dm/conq/rush/etc, as well as server size. I see a lot of "24/7 Metro FAST RANK UPS" servers but idk what that means.

And as far as preferred kit setups, since IRNV was nerfed and some damage reduced on certain weapons, I was referring to specific weapons depending on maps. Like running Famas on metro/bazaar.

The AEK-971 is a pretty solid weapon. Can't really go wrong with it.

Play infantry maps to start; Metro is a great way to rack up kills (or deaths lol). Rush, assault, even team deathmatch. I mostly play Assault and the AEK's a great all-rounder. The FAMAs puts a lot of rounds downrange in a short period of time, much like the K2000 but I never feel like I play very well with it on larger open maps. I do see a few players who constantly top the scoreboards using the M16A3/A4, probably for it's high fire rate.

IRNV got a decent nerf a few weeks back so it's no longer the magic scope. Unless you're on big, open vehicle maps holo scopes are good allrounders. My usual setup is the AEK with the PKA-S, foregrip, and laser sight. On tight maps I'm usually load the holo or RDS and supressor. On bigger maps the PK-A is nice, but I just unlocked the M145 and it's great on 'snipier' maps.

If you're a crack shot and play assault you can make the AN-94 Abakan work, but it pales compared to the AEK or FAMAS due to it's low RPM (like only 60% of the AEK). It might have been adjusted lately so maybe it's been improved a bit as an all-around weapon, not just for pseudo-snipers?

I would say conquest on Operation Metro. The ticket booth (capture point B) becomes a shit show and teams are typically grouped together well. Much easier to get points from medkits and ammo boxes.

assault class and play rush or TDM (on console TDM forces small maps idunno about PC) most of the people i've seen with SPM above 600 play a lot of rush or play only TDM

also my pref of weapon is the f2000, many people like the FAMAS though
