Are you kidding? I'm loving this patch! Less ppl using 12g fag rounds, javelin works much better, and I haven't seen any MAV elevators yet. The guns are more balanced now, burst fire works like a charm, and the heavy barrel actually works now. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
I've had success with all kits so far. As long as you use caution and skill you can be successful with any weapon.
Mav elevator is still broken. Saw someone doing it yesturday.
I've been messing with the G3A3 and I've found that to be pretty good. The only thing I haven't really liked is how strong they've made the suppression effect but they already said they made it stronger than they meant to.
I've had to relearn most of my favorite assault rifles. D:
Game is at least 300% better than it was. You guys need to stop complaining. It is much more balanced and this is how the game should be. BF prides itself on getting shit right and making things feel real and they definitely got it right. This should have been the original release of the game, it is so much better now.
Every expectation I had of the patch was blown away, it's above and beyond what I and many friends had hoped for. Maybe now they'll play a few less cod tournaments and play a little more BF3.
I love the patch as well, all the guns seem to be on much more equal footing and the game in general feels a lot more balanced. The tank nerf is blown way out of proportion imo but I do agree that the new suppression effects are a bit much, but overall I'm having much more fun in the post-patch game.
Completely agreed. Although the game had the necessary ingredients (choppers, tanks, infantry, C4, etc.) it just didn't really feel like a Battlefield game until this patch. There's something to be said about the intangibles. A Battlefield game has a distinct feel to it, and they didn't have it until now.
Now if they could move the deployments closer to the objectives even just a little, it would help immensely. At least, it would help us BroBox ppl. Kharg Island, Caspian Border, and Operation Firestorm are all snoozefests. Karkand and Sharqi Peninsula are examples of good maps. Seine Crossing, Operation Metro, and Grand Bazaar are all too narrow and belong in a Call of Duty game.
Anyone playing this on the PS3?
I fucking love birgirpall videos
So, does anyone still play on brobox? I kinda want to rent a server to ensure I never have to play any sort of Wake Island ever again.
I play on ps3 name is Venomus0.
Tatsubunshin on brobox.
In need of a new group/clan to play with. All my friends are dead when I log on
:edit:
I'm on PC. Rarely on brobox.
pc here, actually been enjoying hardcore servers a fuckton more than regular ones lately
i think its the lack of 3d spotting that makes it more fun for me, yeah you can still get spotted, but it only puts you on the map instead of giving an instant indicator of exactly where you are.
the only thing i wish was in this game that isn't is the commander from bf2. if that was in this game it would be pimp.
I don't hate every bit of the patch, i like the balance they brought to the vehicles and the fact that it's ultimately easier to take out choppers and tanks as I believe they were over powered. I'm not a vehicle guy, I play Assault and Engineer. That being said my favorite aspect of the game was mostly being able to dominate on the ground with my gun skills. I take pride in my gun fights and gun skills with an advantage in being able to aim accurately and quickly for headshot kills. The fact that they changed the accuracy of the foregrip is ultimately what ruins the game for me. Not sure why I would be so happy about having spent ~200 hours finding and adjusting to my favorite weapons that I feel were balanced and certainly far from over powered to having to adjust to a drastic change in med-long accuracy.
Not to mention the MAV elevators were not repaired in the patch.
People can still go 40-1 with MAV road kills in a map.
I've never heard of a game in which you attach a foegrip and it has a negative impact on accuracy at any distance. My biggest problem is their reasoning for making the change. They literally said "uhhh well too many people relied on it and not enough people used other attachments"
Let's talk a little bit about the suppression change. We have 2 changes that greatly affected how I play a majority of the time.
A) My guns are now less accurate at med-long range I am basically forced to take off the foregrip and even still the guns jump more than they ever did before, my bullet spread is much more random even with tapping shots which caters to spray and pray in getting lucky headshots.
B) They have also greatly increased the suppression effect.. why did they do this? Who in the fucking world asked for this? Even with suppression cover squad specialization on it's still a bit ridiculous.
So now we have people shooting with less accuracy who are "suppressing" people more often because they are missing more shots + the effect of suppression increasing which means both people in the gun fights are going to miss even more often the problem is literally compounded.
That's why the patch ruined the game experience for me, it's that simple.
I'm somewhat annoyed at the foregrip nerf as I used it for every weapon I had. That being said, the range that I could accurately kill people did seem a little ridiculous for an assault rifle. Not that I've ever actually held a gun, but still.
The foregrip nerf is really a non-issue for me with how much they buffed the flash supressor and heavy barrel. If you're using a gun with more horizontal recoil than vertical, use the foregrip + heavy barrel and if you're using a gun with more vertical recoil, go with bipod + flash suppressor. The recoil increase over prepatch is really pretty small and spread is a non-issue with either setup, the only time the foregrip is really going to hinder you anymore is if you use it with a suppressor and that setup really did need a nerf. I really don't see how the foregrip nerf can ruin the game for you since all it did in the first place was reduce horizontal recoil by 20%, which is not very much.
The gun changes are awesome from my perspective too, and I'm not having any problems with the F2K at all at medium ranges. It's silly to complain about it not being a viable long range option because it's a CQC oriented gun, getting long range shots isn't a problem at all with guns like the AN-94 or L85. The new setup is great for balance because there aren't any guns that are good at everything now and there is a sliding scale between CQC and long range.
