I hadn't purchased anything for my gaming rig when BF3 was released, so I bought it on 360 at time. Now that I have a mildly good gaming rig, I couldn't be more excited about this $10 sale. The 360 version has always left me feeling like half the maps on it were a waste due to server capacity limitations, so I'm really stoked to try out 64 player battles with better looking graphics too.

I only played 2 metro matches between studying tonight, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with the PC version thus far. It feels like it blows the console version of the game out of the water in every way, and it almost makes me want to buy the premium membership for the close quarters maps, as well as the armored warfare maps.

I always saw it as a waste of money to buy premium on the 360, as every large map in the Karkand expansion (only one I own atm) felt way too big for the 24 person cap on consoles, so I figure this feeling would transfer over to the rest of the new large maps, as well as the armored kill maps due to the limit on vehicles available.

So yeah. It takes getting used to, finding a gun you like and feel comfortable with and learn the maps. It can take a bit of time so don't lose faith.

Now that the PS3 version has Armored Kill, my love of this game has been rekindled. Dunno why but I love the tank warfare since I've learned a lot of run and gun tricks to kill everyone and everything. Past few days been practicing my arc and shot line-up for air warefare and have killed 6/6 choppers last two days. Jets are a lot harder (unless it's an F35 and the pilot is too cocky to keep moving) and I'm pretty excited about the balance of the vehicles. The damn paradrop sucks though and Javelin/Spotter combo's are pretty fucking boss if you're getting steamrolled.

Yeah today I landed my first jet kill which forced two guys to target me all match long in the desert. They were really pissing off a lot of people by doing fly-by run and gun and doubling up on our choppers and jets so whoever was in the drop ship was having a blast. I snuck behind one in a jet and killed him (lucky shooting on my behalf) and the other guy quickly took me out. So I busted out the tank and they kept coming at me every time I got a nice streak going. Finally I got one of the other guys to spot for me using the Slo-Flam so I started cranking out the guided shots which landed me four or five quick kills till they started getting smart and doing high speed combat again. Sure enough, one little pesky fucker nosed in on me with his guns and I shot one shell from the tank and it was spot on. Match ended with both of them sending me multiple messages of "Fucking cheating faggot." Love this game...

as well as access to all the DLC in battlefield3

you get a 50% discount off medal of honour warfighter

and with warfighter you then supposedly get

beta access to battlefield 4

seems like an ok-ish deal
