I don't join servers where my ping is over 50. Even then this sorta thing is an issue.

Anyone down for some matches on PC?

Prediction really shouldn't be that... predicty, though. If you go play an older Q3 based shooter, you'll never get 1 shot by a smg or pistol. If you play CoD, though, shit happens all the time.

Does anyone know the firewall settings to be able to see ping? Using Nod32 but I can't view ping (and therefore can't use quick match) because *something* is being blocked (as turning off firewall lets me, but I don't want to have it completely off)

Ok so I tried 10 mins of the beta and i'm not even sure i'm gonna go back. So far my opinion on this game is 100% refund of pre-order.

I only really tried 1 map, sure. 1 map that I got spawn rape 6. fucking. times. (in a row). and the rest was just random running cover to cover trying to find ppl before I get sniped.

Cmon man, 10min of a completely new game with a different feel then its predecessor? Theres definitely a learning curve, and the map has questionable balancing issues, but the game is still looking pretty good.

The console version isnt worth it if you base your opinion on it. I agree it's not worth it with call of doots coming out (looks extremely polished as always).

But BF3 looks to be the fps to beat for the pc.

So far the only issues I have are graphical and the shoot first shit. That is just downright stupid. Since it's still beta I'll let it pass but if that shit is in the final game then that's just bad design. The only time I've ever gotten a kill after I've died is via grenade or rocket launcher. I have never had a draw where both people died though. Which should happen fairly often in a map like Metro.

Also what the fuck at their stupid reasoning for taking caspian border out of the beta. "We need to test the ranking/progression system." So... they DON'T need to test the ranking/progression system for VEHICLES? Or even VEHICLES MECHANICS?

This is the first beta I've seen where they are denying access to a gigantic part of the game. If they want to do that, fine, it's their beta. But don't give stupid asinine reasons for it.

Perhaps instead of running around looking for random people, you should run around towards the big neon orange objectives outlined on the map. TDM scrubs always have, and always will hate battlefield.

This. So much this. Yesterday was playing as defender as a sniper, was on the other side of the fence near the water by Objective B on the first stage. Somebody would arm the objective. I'd switch to my pistol, run over to it, cap whoever was over there and disarm it without even so much as being shot at, and return to sniping in the exact same spot. People are fucking retarded. Though the lack of voice chat has something to do with that I'm sure.

Seriously though, is there a way to voicechat with your whole team, or even your squad? Because I'm only seeing how to with your friends.

There's a lot of strategy in the Subway. Med kits, mobile spawns, and positioning in the tunnels all help bottleneck attackers to your spawn to hold it off for 10 minutes.

I really enjoy Metro. I wish we could have access to the other map NOW before the beta ends next week
