thats what I thought also but these websites that allow you to check your specs for the games say i should be able to play it on rather high settings. I can play black ops almost maxed out, doesnt look that much more intense but I could be horribly mistaken.

As long as you don't try Ultra, you should be good at 1920x1080. My performance in the beta was reasonably good at 2560x1440, High settings. For reference, here's my system specs:

Core i7 2600k @ 4.7ghz
Asus Maximus Gene-Z motherboard
16gb Corsair DDR3 RAM (forget the timings)
ATi Radeon 5870 (fan's dying on it, but I'm hoping it holds out until ATi/nVidia release new stuff)
2x Corsair Force GT 60gb SSD's in RAID 0 (boot drive)
2x 500gb Western Digital Blacks in RAID 0 (installs)
1x 2TB Western Digital Black (downloads, media)

oh yea i'll be happy with high settings with 1920x1080, never go higher res than that anyhow. Really want to upgrade my ram oneday and grab a better HDD but cool thanks for the info.

nice build btw, Im thinking about making the slight upgrade to the 5870 if I can find a reasonably priced one. Used to building a new rig every year but I went and got married to an accountant so thats not feasible anymore

To be honest, I really don't have an issue with Origin other than the fact that Battlelog is kind of pointless as a launcher. Advantage is that you can now keep track of your stats flawlessly without bookmarking or any of that other crap. That makes me happy.

Matter of fact, the fact that the whole game downloaded in like 10 minutes for me immediately makes me like it more than Steam.

Thanks, I threw it together in August (except I recycled the video card from my old box). Really happy with it, but BF3 is proving to be a bit much for that card to do at 2560x1440. I might just keep it at 1920x1080 just to keep the action fluid.

Yeah, the 6950 is a pretty good card for the $$$ (about equal to the GTX 560 Ti), and the 2gb 6950 can sometimes be BIOS-modded into a full 6970. I'm just trying to hold off because there's a new round of product launches coming and I don't want to buy older tech.

Yeah, I really don't understand the whole origin boycotting and shit. You people used steam as a client to have digital downloads of games didnt you? You know Amazon has a client now too, and most of their digital library is half the price of steams. Battlelog while kinda silly gives me access to all my stats, future badge unlocks etc that I used to have to bookmark and have open in several tabs as well. It's silly, but super convenient. Not to mention setting up parties and such is much easier now.

Also, I understand if people don't have a computer capable of running this game, but if you do have a computer capable of running it then there shouldn't even be a question on which platform to get this game for. Friends are nice and all, but this is first and foremost a PC game. This isn't CoD, this is Battlefield. It is better in pretty much every single aspect on a computer.

Also, @ people posting pc specs. Bring it on. Running this on Ultra @4.0ghz with SLI'd gpu's at 2560x1600. Lol @2600k's being master race. Where's my 2011's at. I'll probably be streaming as well over xfire later and tomorrow.
