AWWWW YEAHHHHHH
Goddam youre worse at this then gears :c
I have a question about jets. For those of you that use them, how did you get exp to unlock stuff? AFAIK I only start out with a machine gun and no flares, and the only thing I've been able to shoot down is 1 helicopter. It's really annoying because when I do get into a plane, I end up getting shot down by the other team because he has missiles or someone with a G-A launcher and I lose it with flares.
I'm having a similar problem with helicopters, but I can at least fly those and know how to use the weapons. I want to be a better pilot, but its hard not having a repair crew or good gunners when you get shot down so fast. On the plus side, I'm not doing too bad with armor.
I've hardly even played, and then half my games dc with 1 minute left, so i get pissed off and play shittier and shittier. Haven't tried support yet, how do you mount or w/e an LMG with a bipod or whatever?
I'm not very good at this game :3

also despite owning BC2 I've barely touched it so this is more or less my first battlefield, and it plays different than most games I've played.

I'm awesomesauce.
>_>
Half the time anyways.
Yeah, it's a bit of a bitch before Flares/Heatseekers. Luckily you pretty much just have to kill 2 other jets/helis to get the 400exp needed for flares, and after that it gets alot easier. If you're on PC and without a joystick, I found the best way to dogfight is to use the arrowkeys(lol) for the major turning, and quickly switching over to the mouse for the actual killing part. Using only the mouse is very inefficient and you'll never be as fast as someone using a stick/keys.

I play medic almost exclusively.
Honest thoughts on the game (PC version):
It started out pretty rough. I wasn't sure I made the right choice by spending $60 on BF3. The beta was so bad, but thankfully when the full game released, it was a LOT better than the beta. But, Battle Log didn't impress me at all at first, servers that were listed as like 27/32 after a refresh were full 5 seconds later, and when I did manage to find a server to play on, it either kicked me out pretty quickly or "Battlefield 3 has stopped working. Send to Microsoft?" error popped up. When I did manage to get into a game, I was getting rolled by prone motherfuckers I couldn't even see. Iron sites and shitty guns only made it worse.
After I got some time in, it started to get easier to see those prone bitches, I got some basic unlocks for my weapons, and started getting some gadgets and new weapons. It got a lot more fun at this point. Now it seems like I keep a pretty steady slightly-better-than-1.0 k/d ratio, though I've still got some work to do to pull even there overall. I still haven't attempted to pilot any aircraft; I was never good at it and my RL buddies I play with always pilot. I need to fix that to get the full experience imo.
Recommendations:
- Start by worrying more about assisting others and completing objectives, like neutralizing command points in Conquest and dropping health packs and ammo for people. Avoid Rush for a while.
- Once you get some basic unlocks, start working on those weapons. The only way is to get kills, so camp like a motherfucker at a good spot and get kills anywhere you can.
- Pick one class and stick to it as much as possible, it's the only way to effectively make your kit better. I've tried to stick to Engineer with a side of Support when Engineer isn't appropriate.
Overall, I give the game a solid 9/10. It only loses a point because some bugs persist, and some maps (well, specifically Operation Metro) are completely imbalanced toward one side. Best game purchase I've made this year, by far. Also, I am not biased, I bought both Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, and liked them well enough. Battlefield is just where it's at for me. Lastly, if you were a Bad Company 2 player, please realize that BF3 is much more similar to old-school Battlefield games like 1942 and BF2. The maps are huge, wide open ... not smallish and sometimes CoD-like, like BC2.
Its my first battlefield game, but I'm enjoying myself with it so far. They say the campaign is a carbon copy of COD, I haven't gotten too far into it though. Online multiplayer of course is somewhat slower than COD because of the wide open spaces, but right now people are playing it like its COD so meh. Its pretty fun using most of the vehicles, if you get the hang of them anyway

My acc sucks D:
Also, Medic + Infared scope + Sniper buddy is a sick combo.
I love the anti air tank. I ripped infantry up with the gun, and the missles keep you well guarded against air.
Also, the single player was ok. Reminded me of Homefront in that it was way too short. Multiplayer is fun, but needs more maps imo. I havent played that much (rank 7 or 8) but already I'm used to most of these maps.
