Appreciate the heads up, BUT it's something you should *never* fall for. We all know we can't file for appeal for anything in this game LOL
.
No offense but why in hell would you trust anyone on the game? Even a [GM] tell wouldn't tell you something like that they'd just give you an e-mail or LM-number suspension or ban.
People actually fall for phishing? Good lord.
I can't imagine anyone gullible enough to fall for this kind of thing would have a particularly valuable account, so I guess the RMT truly are getting desperate.
.
Interesting tactic, I wonder how many people will fall for it.
That said, I have a bridge you may be interested in. Click Here to post a bid.
My sister called me earlier today saying she was told by a young man in Nigeria that she won a million dollars.
The whole family is going out to celebrate this weekend after she deposits $1,000 USD into the "hold account" they are letting her borrow.
Wait so it was a /tell asking you to go to a website?
Or a POL message.
If you listened to a /tell from a random player you so don't need to be on the internet.
My girlfriend got this as well. I'm kinda disappointed that you fell for it though Q_Q. I thought you were much smarter than that.
Also, if you had a security token, it shouldn't have mattered if he phished your account or not, unless you were REALLY gullible and typed that into the website you went to.
Did you at least get a phishing skill-up out of this?
YESSSSSS
.
Did you notice in the tell, they didn't call it gil...it was called gold?
They're probley doing it across a bunch of games.
When I read the title, I was expecting the body of this thread to be,
