    FS: Macbook Pro

I'm selling my used Macbook Pro, Oldstyle model.

2.2Ghz Santa Rosa platform model. 2gb of ram. Standard configuration MBP.

    Includes original box and accessories.

Before sale I will ensure all data is permanently gone and install the OS(s) of your choice:

    OSX 10.4 Tiger
    OSX 10.5 Leopard
    OSX 10.5 Leopard Server Edition

I can pre-install Vista 32 or 64 in bootcamp(with a partition size of your choice) in trial mode, so you only have to put in your own key for activation(alternatively I have like 20 copies of Ultimate and can include one for +$50).

Additionally I will pre-install the following software unless you specifically don't want it:

    Microsoft Office 2008
    iLife 09
    iWork 09
    ($400~ value).

The laptop itself is in great condition, I take good care of my electronics. Before shipment I will open it up and internally clean any dust, etc, out of it. Does not have Applecare. Works great, casing only shows minor cosmetic wear from average use. Only selling because I have since upgraded.

Pictures: If you have any requests for pictures of certain parts, angles, etc, just ask.

Will only accept paypal to verified paypal users and to verified paypal addresses who have at least a moderate forum history. Otherwise money order/cash(local pickup is fine).

$900 OBO. Can see on ebay this model is still $900-$1200 before any extra software. I should mention, all software is simply installed and not a physical copy, but all installed software uses a legal key/license from my volume license for said software(or in case of Vista, just having a bunch of copies, in Vistas case, I will include the physical copy).

Also, I will personally provide a 30 day warranty upon purchase for any defect that is not obviously the new owners negligence.

Might I recommend recompressing your photographs in jpg? PNG is a format more suited to things where there is lots of solid color, like a screenshot, or lossless image storage. For sharing real-world photographs you need to use jpg to get a decent filsize.

Each of your ~7 megapixel pngs are 8-11mb, and would be 1/4th that as a jpg.

It doesn't help that they were taken at 3072 × 2304 resolution, either lol

I'll put up some stock photos and really shady looking 150x150 detailess pictures if that's what will sell it.

Honestly, buying one of these Macbook Pro's without warranty is financial suicide. I had the same model for about a year, and I had to bring it in for repair over six times..

And I've had to bring it in...0 times.

    And statistically I'm the majority.

    Anecdotal evidence ftl.

I have one of these. And I love it more than I love most people. It's been a good comp.

Is it dual core or no?

EDIT: Nvm, I saw by the system config picture. Are you willing to go lower? I can get a new macbook pro 15 inch base model for 1100 through school with the free ipod touch =\

Discounted 15" MBP starts at $1600, the $1100 model is the base 13".

Also the $1999 model is the first with an actual video card, and is the current gen equivalent to the one I'm selling.

I get 10% off from my school and my friend who is an AppleCare associate gets an additional 20% off that we CAN combine. So no, 1100 w/ the free touch that I could easily sell for 200.

If anyone is interested, I ended up putting it on ebay.

    15in 2.2ghz Macbook Pro, 2gb ram 120gb HDD 8600m GPU - eBay (item 110406419763 end time Jun-28-09 13:56:23 PDT)

I'll still take a lower cash amount if anyone wants it before auction gets many bidders.

Still comparing the macbook to the MBP. MBP *starts* at the 1999 model. Which would be like $1450 after tax with your discount and the sale of the ipod factored in. Just saying you're comparing very different models, though if you don't need/want a discrete video card in your laptop, then yeah, the lower-end models are a good value.
