But, on a good note, I've got the verses down. Just gotta finish the choruses and the little extra ambience to make it truely a trip hop track.

Alright, im very, very frustrated. I think I'm going about this all wrong.
I've been doing my typical MO of my personal style/genre, which is trip hop.
For those who hear me throw that word around, heres a definition of the genre.

Trip hop is a music genre also known as the Bristol sound. The trip hop description was applied to the musical trend in the mid-1990s of downtempo electronic music that grew out of England's hip hop and house scenes.

Trip hop is known for its melancholy, surreal aesthetics. A genre of slow dance music combining elements of hip hop with melodic, often psychedelic, sounds and impressionistic lyrics.



It isn't working for her voice. I'm scrapping the attempt and starting over with a dance/up tempo or even techno version.

If someone wants to prove me wrong, I'm sure theres some hobbyist remixers here. Feel free to try, but it just wont line up with a slower tempo, and if I speed it up it isn't trip hop anyway, so I may as well go with a dance pattern.

I'm getting to work on the techno track now. *sigh*. Maybe I'm just not talented enough or it's "writers block", but I just cant remix this into trip hop. I can remix it in general, but I really....really fuckin wanted to make it trip hop style.
