No home point will *ever* surpass hometown now that outpost warps are within 20 seconds of mog houses and aht urhgan warps.

Trolling? Jeuno is easily the worst homepoint of the three at the moment unless all you do is MMM or need to constantly check bazaars.

if SE make coins AH-able, i can tell you that the speed of producing a relic will be at least 10 times slower than it is

it is tradable and bazzarable so as to minimise trading and sales, so only the serious ones will go look around, buying and trading, and not some mofos buying a few off AH, waste them, and quit or trade in stage 1 and 2

that few adds up to many and evenutally slow relic makers down

Also please try to remember these are stackable to 99 and not 12 for those thfs out there stealing 4-5 coins a run (on a good day) I don't wanna waste those AH slots seperatly, is actually easier to bazaar in that case. IMO

People undercut everything on the auction house. I think it would be a lot better if you could sell these items on auction house.

Another thing you have to think about is AH tax. I don't think anyone would bother putting them up if they had enough stacks.

People often undercut a ton if they see 20+ stacks of something because they wanna sell 1st. So I would think the price would be a hell of a lot less on the AH.

It's a different issue when individuals are buying thousands of a single item.

See: Moat Carp, which haven't changed any more or less than inflation in the entire life of the game.

I doubt hardly that it would have such a deep impact, it woudl lower prices. You can find Coins anyway in bazaars so, if you wanted to start. Putting them on AH would help lowering the price.

Personally i prefer having my HP in sandy, while home nation is in windy. That way i can get to sandy with warp, and if i need to use the op warp, i can still get to the warp taru in around a minute or so.

This pretty much answers your question. AH camping would become an issue if coins could hit the AH.

The only people who could get coins would be those that are willing to spend every waking minute at the AH though.

As someone that had a mule at the AH or at bazaar's almost all the time, the difference would be minimal. AH would be easier but i like the ability to communicate with the seller.

Never heard of a bot that buys stuff off the AH. Though that might explain some stuff.

Like 90%+ of all elemental ores for at least a year are this guy. If you want one, you get VERY lucky, or you pay more. It's as simple as that.

Currency on the AH would be even worse.

Basically you're saying that the internet destroyed capitalism, since the AH and the internet serve the same purpose regarding transfer of goods: both systems establish a standard price for an item where otherwise it would be different from place to place (and in FFXI's case, zone to zone, as Rolanberry is +30-50% market value).

In a legit system, currency on the AH would be excellent. Unfortunately, people would just abuse it and buy it all up anyway, and then resell it.

Making dynamis currency, alex and abc availible on the AH is a really stupid idea. Apart from the fact that it would be like back before 95% of ls did sponsered dynamis and you'd have everyone and their dog trying to upgrade and never getting past stage 2 (omg stage 1 done, im 1/4 of the way there!). It would just make it easier for rmt to bot or for the extremely rich to get a lot richer, not to mention prices would spiral out of control.

The way it is now keeps the people who have no serious hope of finishing away and keeps prices down. Oh and before someone makes a comment about prices being too high, get a fucking brain, they are high because of supply vs demand. People aren't being impatient when they pay 12-15k per bronze, they are just the people who actually have a hope of finishing a relic in a reasonable time frame.

The cost of glass is really not very relevant to the cost of currency, this has been the case for a very long time, but much moreso now due to a much larger number of organised linkshells providing a lot more people with the resources to upgrade.

AH would be a lot better. I'm on my third relic. Running around shouting for coins all day is so much fail. I would like to be able to just buy 70 m silvers off AH than run around looking to find 1 or 2. This shit is so gay. Makes me wanna just get 30 retards and sponsor.
