So excited for tomorrow's episode. Who thinks they're going to resolve Maryann's plot before the end of the season? I really hope so, but with only 2 episodes left I'm starting to wonder.

If its gonna be anything like last season, tonights episode will set up the endgame for the season finale. Then the finale will close the Maryann saga and start up the Club Dead storyline (i hope).

Btw, started reading the books finally.... its like Bill and Eric switched personalities in the book.

Pretty sure the Maryann storyline will be wrapped up next week in the season finale, just not sure what the cliffhanger will be (probably a "is x person dead"/x person is presumed dead, only to re-appear in next year's season premiere", in which case I'd put money on Sam).

I think they're also introducing Weres, possibly next season (werewolves are the only shifter type supe that is called a "Were" in the TB universe, or at least in the books). Any other shifter/"two-natured" person that shifts into only 1 kind of animal is called by the animal they shift into, i.e. Werebat, Werewhatever.

Maybe it was just the frame of mind I was in last night, but this ep was kinda dull. I'll probably end up watching it on a replay sometime this week and change my mind tho.

Tara escaping & Sookie getting trapped was so fucking predictable. I get the impression Maryann's gonna try to use Sookie as the sacrifice now instead of Sam.

I really expected more out of the scenes with the Queen. Was the whole childish acting thing supposed to be ironically funny? Seeing Sookie & Jason's cousin was kinda unexpected tho.. it seems the family is known better among the vamps than we've been shown so far.

Weres have a large focus in book 3, so can expect Weres in pretty much every episode

Last night's episode wasn't one of the strongest. Jason & Eric had some awesome moments.. was great to see them finally showing off Eric's ability to fly. Just seemed like there was a lot of useless talking (like why did they feel the need to have Sookie talk about how much her house has changed - zzzzzzz), and wtf is up w/ the egg?

I highly doubt Sam is gonna die. It may be part of the cliffhanger, but I kind of expect them to end this season w/ an intro cliffhanger to S3. Though dunno how they are gonna set up S3 w/o Bill getting a position in the vamp hierarchy (like the 2nd book). If they were gonna kill off a main character they would of killed off Lafeitte (sp) at the end of S1 since he died in the books instead of the voodoo lady.

I will admit them explaining how Maryaan showed up was all sorts of awesome. Figured she was just passing by like in the books, never would of thought that Tara summoned her

Just goes back to what i said the episode was gonna be.... setup for the finale and that was exactly what it turned out to be. Though there were some things I did like, such as...

Maryann revealing to Tara why she showed up. Thats a really nice nod to prior continuity. And Hadley was kinda hot in that trashy kind of way. Too bad she bats for the other team.
