Haven't watched the ep yet but am glad to hear Hadley makes an appearance. She'll be a fun character for the writing team. Unfortunately, in the written world of Sookie, Hadley's story was really only explained in a short story, and it was only in the books as a device to get Sookie in New Orleans for an extended period after Katrina really.

Have the demons made an appearance yet, too? They would be really fun to do on the production side I bet too...

Eric is definitely a red herring. It's just too obvious that it could be him, considering his chat with Evan Rachel Wood earlier in the episode.

I thought it was a very awesome season finale. Definitely some great scenes and a very good ending to lead into the next season.

Upon further consideration, I like Lorena more than Newlin as a suspect. If Newlin did it, he would've nabbed Sookie too.

If its gonna follow book 3 at all, its Lorenna and Russell, the King of Mississippi, who are the ones who took Bill. Though with the whole V dealing going on between Eric and Sophie, they could change it up.

They have to make some other tie in to push Bill to Jacksonville, since the show never made Bill part of the Vamp hierarchy [yet], and he isn't doing Vamp research to get him into trouble.

I kind of figured they would push Bill to Jacksonville by putting Lorena in trouble... this would force him to go save his maker even though he doesn't have any more allegiance to her. Only reason why I don't think it's Eric is because there is no need for him to use silver... but then he was wearing gloves to protect himself... so it could be him (think the gloves are to just throw ppl off). Regardless, I don't see how Eric could force bill into the Jacksonville situations, since it is Eric who helps Sookie get there in the first place in the books (why would he help her if he is the root cause of it anyways?). I know they can obviously turn it around, but I don't see how they are going to further the love triangle between the 3 if they make Eric out to be pure evil.

I liked the season finale and they set the stage for all the main characters into next season. I don't think the Jason & Andy thing will last long, but it's a nice twist to see Andy sticking up for Jason. I mean seriously though, no reason why Jason needed to kill Egg's when he could have just shot him in the leg or something.

Also interested in Sam's stuff, though I thought how he dealt w/ Maryaan was pure awesome. Was a big wtf moment to see that. Jessica's stuff was meh at best... felt like they had to shove her into the episode in some form

jessica was sorta just shoved in there but I think she had to be or else it wouldve been a wtf ever happened to jessica. I also believe Eggs role in the finale(post maryanne) was a bit forced as well, but they did wrap up the Maryanne plot pretty well in my opinon. I have no idea who the kidnapper could be, I doubt its Eric, and in the books didn't jason have some faerie blood... so i guess they wont play on that since he was effected by Maryanns Charmga

The finale was a lil' anti-clmactic but overall I was satisfied. The way Sam finished Maryann was awesome. Fatality style. And wow the Vampire Queen had some hueg liek Xbox fangs.

The Queen talked a lot about belief with regards to Maenad abilities, so perhaps Jason believing he was susceptible or even having a subconscious desire to join in the orgy could've overridden what should've been immunity.

As for Eggs, I'm sad he's dead, in part because his uncovered memories could've made him an interesting character next season, but mostly because now Tara will spend all of season 3 moaning about her dead boyfriend(as if she wasn't annoying enough.)

It's probably just going to be about the way the blood manifests. Obviously it is stronger in Sookie than Jason because she has powers and he just has charisma.

I enjoyed the finale, was a great way to wrap things up and intro new stuff. I was expecting to see some hints of werewolves (as I think people in this thread claim they're big in the next book?) but the only bit that might lead to that is Sam going after his birth parents.

One of the things that kinda bugging me about the finale is that Jason was susceptible to Maryann's powers. Isn't he supposed to have faerie blood like Sookie does, which would have prevented that from happening?
