I just got FFXI today and its still down loading, I was looking up web sites for the game and found this one. I am trying to figure out which server I should join and I will be able to find a good linkshell that allows new players to join.

Tbh, you should check around on ffxiah.com. Check the economies on each server. Piss poor economies like Fairy will be rough to start on.

If I read it right Leviathan seemed to have a good economics with 1.81% in the green, is that good or bad?

It really doesn't matter which server you start out on. I guess if you're in Europe you should try and find out the EU population on a server before joining.

Well game finally finished down loading so now just to finish up the a few things then I will create my character, still don't know what server to pick though.
