FOX would have canceled Seinfeld. There's an interesting article somewhere, can't recall at this time, about how different the industry is now. Reality programs, being very cheap to produce, are here to stay.

Fuck Survivor, i've never watched a single episode, and give me back AD.

Fox used to be run by douches but they seem to have wised up with letting their shows get a following (T:SCC being the exception I guess?) not like the 2001-2006ish period where they cancelled so many promising shows. I think the current prize for idiots running a channel has to be NBC, although they haven't cancelled much its just clear that having connections with the executives is more important then the quality of the show (i.e. 30 Rock/Heroes/Chuck, one show that wouldve been AD 2.0 if not for Tina Fey's/Lorne Michael's power w/ the network, one show thats shit but gets by regardless(Heroes) and one show that has devoted fans/decent reviews that gets shafted).

AD is definitely my favorite cancelled tv show, perhaps better than every other show that Fox canned during that period other than Andy Richter Controls the Universe. On the other hand I'm happy that AD went out the way it did, ontop of its game and pretty much perfect in everybody's eyes. Much better to have a shortlived but perfect classic then something that would've dragged on beyond when it stopped being funny

Life was great but I lost touch with it this year.

Life on Mars was designed to just be a one year show initially.

It would have been nice to have gotten one last season out of Quantum Leap instead of that joke of a finale.

The Book of Daniel. First aired January 6, 2006 and canceled January 24, 2006 after 4 episodes on NBC because it was considered "blasphemy" by many conservative christian groups. Some stations flat out refused to air any episodes after the first one, due to complaints. I thought the show had promise, and showed that even priests and their families are just as human as the rest of us.

Earth 2. A sci-fi series I watched back in the mid 90s on NBC about a group of people sent to colonize an earth-like planet.

I hear there's a reboot remake or something coming out? Terminator had the same fate as Firefly, Bionic Woman, The Fugitive (remake); being too expensive for the ratings it gave. I read that the episodes where they showed clips of the future, cost 50% more to shoot. I liked those episodes the best D:
