like dynamis entry fee lowered 'em?

i think you'll only get singles
dynamis fee lowered didnt mean that more currency would enter the market, however currency dropeing somewhere else where you can do shit not on a 72 hour basis means more currency will enter the market at a price of nothing. This ones a total different case.

Increased supply doesn't always lead to lower prices. If this change makes it significantly easier to upgrade a relic, more people will be upgrading, which will lower the supply overall, unless the proper proportion is there.

Say right now, 10,000 currency enters the market per week on a given server. Say there are 100 upgraders.

After the update, people can attain currency at their leisure, but if it's rare you might see the prices of relics go up, and not down. Say 15,000 currency now enters the market per week on your server, but since there are multiple ways to attain currency now, suddenly there are 200 upgraders instead of 100. Demand has doubled while supply has only gone up by 1.5x.

I don't expect a decrease in price. Many people were saying the prices would go down after the Dynamis adjustment, but I said they'd go up. They went up.

for some odd reason i think its going to rain M silver an 100's all day the 1st day. Someone will find a glich to upgrade a relic in one day off it. At that point SE iwll see it, "fix it". and make it where you can get only 1's once a day.

I see those gargoyles are going to appear. Must be that "Shadowing Battalion" hiding in the shadows. I wonder what happened to those plans they considered of having players align with campaign generals.

To join a Union, a player need only seek out a Campaign Arbiter while in possession of Allied Tags.
    There shouldn't be any discrepancy.

Anyway... BLM can't get shit by nuking. If only the top ranking players get to lot then BLMs will get screwed. Meanwhile the job which is taking hits will be a huge advantage.

However I think the system will only have a minimal requirement to prevent afkers. Unfortunately it will probably continue to be vulnerable to those who will do just enough, then afk for rest of the battle.

I see they still haven't made much effort to make offensive campaign remotely interesting...

this update doesnt mean that there will be more upgraders, it really depends on the price of the currency, however you are right once the price goes down you might see more upgraders, shooting the price up at what it was or even higher. It really depends on how much currency is gonna drop there and how SE implemented it.

you might also need to factor in the FFXIV announcement in that too. I realy think now is the chance to lowered currency prices.

This should work just like WAR Public Quest system, which I feel was pretty much perfect. At the conclusion of every battle, players are ranked according to their contribution and given a number value from 1-500. Then, additionally, everyone who contributed has a random roll of 1-1000 added to their contribution score. The three players with the highest net total are eligible to receive Loot Bags (in this case, treasure caskets!). When opening the bag (or casket), there are a number of items contained within, and the player must choose one to loot.

Balanced well, the available loot would be something like:
    1) Random Dynamis Currency Type x3-15 (depending on the length of the battle)
    2) New Rare Equipment Item (at a lower rate, 20% or so)
    3) Augmented Item Lv. 60-75 (100% rate with variable augment, based on your current job/zone)
    4) 10000-50000 gil (depending on the length of the battle)

If they are going to throw in the loot bags, it would need to be job-specific equipment.

Alternatively, just let the players pick what they want from the pool.

EDIT: Also your rewards are incredibly optimistic. Also screws over anyone not playing a one of the three-four best Campaign jobs.

Since Therin used WAR PQs as the example, it should be noted that the gear rewards were class-specific in that game. I don't want to speak for Therin, but he might have not mentioned job-specific rewards in FFXI because it's understood as part of the WAR PQ system.

Yes, I rather see it as having tags on, and then saying "Yes, I'd like to join this Union." Rather like public Ballista. Not necessarily gathering umpteen people and going to do a run with Ops, we all know just how popular Garrison and EFs are. ;P

Unless they really mix up how they measure performance in campaign this will massively unbalanced and always be won by PLD/DNC or SAM/DNC.

BLM, RDM (playing as a RDM not meleeing), BLU etc will never ever get even close.

It sounds like they have a cut of point, so if you earn less 1,000 exp in the battle you can not lot.

Still that will mean a SAM will mediate to 300 TP, Sekkanoki, Spam WS till they get hate, Tank that mob (self healing) until its dead, AFK for the rest of the battle and still make the cut.

Whereas a BLM will be stunning TP moves, Sleeping groups, nuking, enfeebling, DoTing, elemental enfeebles for the whole battle and will get 1004 exp

I don't see how, even if your contribution score was mediocre (150/500) you could still roll a 900+ for a total of 1050 while the PLDs and SAM/DNCs could roll a 300 on top of their 500 contribution score for a total of 900.

    Speculation!
    Spoiler: show

This will be a new Campaign Op, which requires 3 credits to sign up for. The players will gather at any area currently under Beastmen control to get Allied Tags and the additional Union status. After the Campaign Op starts, the Campaign Battle area will be swarming with enemies which will drop multiple currencies at a high drop rate. New armor sets will be added, which will only drop from Commanding Officers of the Beastmen. Each job will be able to equip 1 of the new armor sets, which will be divided into similar categories as Salvage armor sets. Players' contribution to the battle will be measured in the same manner as a Campaign Battle, and players will require at least a small amount of contribution before they are able to cast lots on anything in the loot pool. The Campaign Op will have a time limit of 1 hour, or will end once every enemy has been defeated. The Campaign Op is not considered to be won unless all enemies are defeated, and at that point a Casket will spawn which may contain 100 currency items and armor. Opening the casket will extend the time limit for the Campaign Op by 5 minutes. Once the Campaign Op ends, the Union is automatically disbanded.
