I don't disagree, and I'm not saying the body SHOULDN'T UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, I'm just saying SE has always designed this game around team effort, especially for particular stats, so it'd be highly unlikely.
Even those things that are designed for more "casual play," like campaign, you see they can't help but add team effort play to it.
off topic of the awesome battle, and on topic of the black mages getting shafted here, I never really thought it was a problem personally - black mage could easily solo better exp than campaign could ever offer. but now this makes job balance in campaign all that more important.
Might I just point out: What's the point of a reward if it's not a reward?
Campaign Bodies will do something. I can guarantee it will be better than somethings at something, and worse than others at something else. Anything outside of that is just speculation.
And people complain about Square Enix adding pointless gear...
Edit: Miss-type, not ACP bodies, campaign bodies. >.>
Hmmm, fuck Polar Colibri, I wanna see a field of Lv. 80~81 Hound type mobs.
Frigid Howl: AoE Frost
Nitrogen Breath: Cone Ice Damage
Icy Claw: Single target damage
Glacial Claw: Single target damage + Bind
Slashing Weakness ahoy!
It's sad that your argument is so weak you have to resort to personal attacks to make yourself look good.
Protip pal: It takes a lot more than one campaign to reach the rank and AN needed for a body.
PS - I don't care what they put on the bodies so long as they don't suck. Your argument is just so bad I couldn't resist pointing it out.
I can't help but think that people who are spouting the 'Campaign is not hard!' line forget just how long it actually takes to achieve the necessary rank to actually even buy a body. We are talking a minimum of 80+ days to even get to the point where assuming you have enough points you can get the body. That's not too insane considering it can take far less time to get that good drop in Dynamis, or even less time to get that good drop at Kings. Sure, Campaign isn't super hard, but neither is Assault, Nyzul, Limbus, etc. All of those can produce great rewards and often directly reflect the time you put into them. Einherjar is another example that is more difficult, but also rewards the players who constantly participate and succeed no matter what.
I personally like the 'work towards your goal' systems as opposed to the 'bend over and pray to the gods of random numbers' approach. 1MP/tick on a Campaign body piece (specifically the mage piece) wouldn't really change anything except possibly piss off the people with a Dalmy.
...This will be a new Campaign Op, which requires 3 credits to sign up for.
To join a Union, a player need only seek out a Campaign Arbiter while in possession of Allied Tags.
The Cobra Cap unit bodypiece will probably more than likely only have exactly what the other pieces have.
Each piece has Store TP, -Enmity, and Accuracy. I am willing to believe that the Cobra Unit Harness (body) will have those 3 things, and +Counter to complement the set bonus of +1 counter for every piece...Something like:
Cobra Unit Harness
[Hands] All Races
DEF: 40 Accuracy +5
Store TP +5 Enmity -4
Counter +6
Set: Enhances "Counter" effect
MNK / THF / RNG / BLU / COR / PUP / DNC
This would give the whole set Counter +10
I'm doing event right now and don't have time enough to type out 3 tons of arguments for this, it's not like yours are especially clever either by the way, half the player population said the same things forever, repeat what you hear and poke others for not having a good argument is very low, especially when they're busy, and want to make their point out fast.
I am in no way necessarily agreeing with Fridell that it's completely stupid to put Refresh on something 'as easily obtainable' as a campaign body... just that it's unlikely based on precedent. That is the only argument I'm making.
It'd be nice to see a sublimation effect for those using /SCH, though, for instance. Something *different* but still useful would be nice to see.
As long as something like the above doesn't breed more BLM/SCHs or RDM/SCHs. Hehe.
Whoa, holy shit. Look what I stumbled upon!
This could change the face of idling in Whitegate, forever.
I agree that it's unlikely that SE will put Refresh on a Campaign body but that doesn't make it impossible and it wouldn't be incredibly stupid or unfair especially if you consider the time people have waited for these bodies.
I'd still rather speculate about the other armor/weapons they might add since they said the bodies are only a part of the new rewards. We've talked campaign bodies to death.
After all, the Campaign bodies will be set at LV68, myself won't expect much. Don't know about all of you. Some of the Higher Level Campaign Pieces are really nice, I would rather be expecting the bodies be as good as a few pieces like the Iron Ram. head piece, be a good swap in/out body equip for specific situations.
A good piece of item and how to obtain that piece matters a lot at least to me. It means more than a valuable armor/weapon, it is a result from hard work, friendship, blood, and tears. I guess I can understand Fridell a little bit since I run my own Salvage/Nyzul group with a few friends. When the desired piece finally drops and balance out all the hard working in the pass, that's an incredible experience. The work weights more than the "Refresh" or "Magic Attack Bonus" item itself.
For the Union part, doubt it is related to Ops. The "large party" could be similar to Ballista how everyone has access to cast magic/abilities over everyone in the Union which normally would happen within members of a party, such as Erase.
None because SE believes that blu having 106 spells is more than enough.
Also, I don't see why a refresh piece on the body would big a big deal if its Campaign Only. Hell, Karasutengu kogake are FEET pieces that add refresh in campaign only, though hard to get, it's still a refresh that only works while in campaign. There is also that one ring that adds Refresh in Salvage/Assault and the Refresh Earring that only works in Garrison.
Incoming 'Dynamis used Unions all along!' Retcon as well.
I would laugh my ass off if Relic armor somehow became available as a result of this new system, since it would actually make sense from a story perspective.
While we're at it, we can maybe add Relic weapons as campaign rewards also!
