Actually, to be honest, i have been following the forums on the official site. Tiburon Mike D has been responsive to most of the addressed issues and they have already made adjustments/fixes. Not too bad in my opinion.

with father's day coming up and my low wii usage lately, i bought my dad a copy and loaned him my wii. he's an avid golfer and goes out to the courses regularly, but there are many advantages to having a golfing game in addition. night golfing is remarkably difficult due to the impossibility of seeing the flag or your ball at 10:30 at night, but a video game does not suffer this difficulty. neither does it suffer from being rained out or even snowed out in the winter. finding your golf ball in 3 feet of snow is difficult and eclipsed by the difficulty of finding a course open when there's 3 feet of snow on the ground. finally, being able to play a course that's hundreds or even thousands of miles away (courses from places as exotic as south africa are available) without the messy troubles of airfare or DHS cavity searches on your return are rather nice too.

as for the game, from what i've observed he seems to like it. he's struggling with the controls a little (i played with it a tiny bit just to make sure everything was hooked up and struggled the same) finding the B button which is used to control your swing a bit clunky and the interface is a little confusing. after getting used to it some, the learning curve seems to be topping out and it's a quite nice game. there are several settings for control ranging from "twirl the wiimote and get a birdie" (i aced my 2nd hole with this setting on and i can't golf to save my life) to a more realistic mode that more accurately represents your errors when swinging, if not your real level of power behind your swing. there are a variety of unlockables and other gimmicks to keep you playing till you accomplish them including golfers, courses, and probably other things i haven't found yet. there's also a "disc golf" mode in the game but i haven't explored it.
