I cruised around in the new PSN on my Euro account. Was slow as hell. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now seeing all the complaints about it has me shaking my head.

Still don't have the update on my main NA account though. I don't spend a lot of time in the store, and it really could have used a new coat of paint ages ago, so it is double edged for me. Why is it so hard to get a nice streamlined store that also doesn't chug along like shit?

Tried out the new PSN store today.

Its much better than the last one. Layout is nice and everything has a ton of sub categories, searching is also 300% better, looks like they fixed the lag that people had when it was first released.

The best thing hands down is now you can stream trailers.

You purchased this game. then you have to click a button to actually start the download. Are you sure you want to start downloading? Downloading - press button to continue. Background download?

Totally agree Souj! I also find it humorous and coincidental that you bring up a valid complaint and then also mention RE5 for + members... which had issues today. You would go to download it as a + member and get charged $30 for it. =P Of course you would have to first be stupid enough to just bomb through those aforementioned screens telling you that you are about to pay for your free game. Still, some people were blind enough to actually end up getting themselves charged.

It was perfect timing for RE5 to come out for free though. I just traded in my re5 to go towards my new ps3. And I never have played the dlc stuff.
Though I'm not even sure I'll play RE5 again anyway. But I have to download stuff to fill this 500gb!

Oh yeah, I had meant to actually say that at the end. It was quickly fixed. I need to upgrade my damn 60GB. I am part lazy and part scared to do it. Maybe a nice deal will come along closer to Black Friday. I would be happy with a nice hybrid drive in there. Especially if I keep on renewing PS+.

Sega will re-release Virtual On Marz as a PS2 Classic in Japan. Yamashita (Nobuyuki Yamashita?) announced the news on the Virtual On blog and said the game will be compatible with the Twin Stick 3 controller Hori is making for Virtual On Cyber Troopers.

Virtual On Marz is scheduled to come out in spring 2013.

If you’re sick of sequels and want to play something completely different you should check out Chulip. There isn’t anything like it since the game revolves around kissing people in a small town to restore the hero’s health.

Let’s back up a bit. Chulip is about a guy who gets rejected by his dream girl. Your father responds by telling you to kiss a bunch of people to raise your reputation in Long Life Town. Characters in Chulip live life on their own schedule, so part of the game is waiting until time passes to surprise them with a kiss. You also have to collect items to write a love letter, fill in as a defense attorney (take that Phoenix Wright!), and… deal with aliens.

Since Chulip was only sold as a GameStop exclusive late in the PS2′s lifecycle it didn’t get as much attention. Maybe it’ll get a second shot as downloadable PS2 Classic for PlayStation 3? The ESRB re-rated Chulip with Sony Computer Entertainment America as the publisher indicating a PSN release in the near future. After completing Chulip, Yoshiro Kimura went on to making Little King’s Story and No More Heroes with Marvelous.

I'm wanting to unlink my account from my original ps3 since you can only link your account to 2 different systems.
I went to account information > deactivate account. options are then "games" and "video". I clicked on both and clicked on "Deactivate account" which was followed by the system giving me the message "account deactivated", but it didn't do anything other than that sooooo I don't know?

That's all it does. If you try to use anything with a digital license or whatever it should refuse to start, but if you have any issues, just check your account on the Sony Entertainment Network site, and you can use a (once every 3 months?) option to unlink everything from the account, then just manually relink from the systems you want linked.

Labyrinth Legends will release on PSN next month, according to an announcement from Creat Studios.

Described by Creat’s VP of development Scott Hyman as “quirky and addictive,” Labyrinth Legends is an arcade action-adventure dungeon crawler full of mysterious tunnels and mystical crypts.

Players will explore ancient tombs of lost civilizations, come up against concealed traps, solve puzzles, collect stars and gold, and discover “hidden treasure, weapons, artifacts and more.”

Enemies include mummies, zombies, ghouls and other monsters you can face alone or through local multiplayer with up to four players.

A Vita version is also currently being discussed.

It’s out on PSN December 18.
