New firmware update out, supposedly will fix affected PS3s also. Just need a USB stick to copy the firmware to, and service-mode install it. Link above is for the NA version.

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War & Warriors Orochi (PS2 Classic) to be added this week

There are a couple of surprises in this week’s PlayStation release schedule which delight me and probably nobody else. The first is Bladestorm: the Hundred Years War, a very early PlayStation 3 title with simple but variety-filled rock-paper-scissors strategy play. The second is the PlayStation 2 Classic version of the first Warriors Orochi. Both have enough content to keep you strapped to the PS3 for some time.

One of the weakest PSN+ months I've seen yet.

For a month where I only have one of the games (from a PS+ discount), it really does feel kinda weak.

Would be interested in BF3 if I didn't already know I'd have to throw money at multiplayer DLC to be able to enjoy its online component. Better off just waiting on BF4 on the PC I want to build.

Yes because Metal Slug is a last gen handheld game and JSR is a HD port of a Xbox game that has ALREADY been on PSN+ for Vita.

While the original PlayStation 2 version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 found its way to the Japanese PlayStation Network in September of last year, little concrete information has ever surfaced for the promised North American release. Thankfully, those outside of Japan will only have to wait a few more days, according to PSN Stores. This classic fighting title will be available on PlayStation Network in North America next Tuesday, July 16. This news comes courtesy of this week’s installment of the Official PlayStation Blogcast.

Being a PlayStation 2 Classic, this release will offer only what was available in the original release. This means no netplay through PlayStation Network, trophy support, remastered graphics, or any other bells and whistles players have become accustomed to with modern-day releases. Still, if you’re looking for a quick Capcom vs. SNK 2 fix and don’t have an old copy of the game lying around, this should be right up your alley.
