Is the PS2 software emulator on PS4 solid? Some titles on PS3 had issues, be it graphical, or corrupting your saves. Thinking of grabbing Bully because the PC port I own is impossible to get running without issue on modern OS.

May as well grab Rogue Galaxy as well I suppose since I never played that.

If you're able, I'd suggest doing it on PC via emulation, if your GPU can handle it. Especially since you bought the games already. Fuck buying them again. Most cards by now should able to without issue. Sometimes you need to tinker with the settings a bit, but the result is usually amazing.

After watching Previously Recorded's full playthrough of it, no, not even if they paid you to play it.

I loved 1886. It's gorgeous with great lore/concept, but it's really a tech demo in the sense that Knack is, too. The story is decent (there are a few issues, especially character devices). I think $8 is a safe gamble but nothing beats renting since you are out zero.

Yeah, that and DQ8 share te same issues, I think all it is though is some garbage in the text boxes. Like Krandor said, it's nothing major. Looks like some little black dots in the text boxes. For DQ8 in 4k, I'll take it. Rogue Galaxy I couldn't stand in English, so you can actually find a JP version fully translated to English. Love te DQ8 dub though, almost perfect imo as far as casting.

I know I've posted it on here somewhere, but 6x native res + sweetfx (and mercifully being able to swap axis on the right stick) makes for a fantastic experience. Some of the textures are kinda low res, but the character faces and general art style still look very good by modern standards.

Even Vaan's sublime chest?

There's actually a seam in the middle of Vaan's chest which is pretty noticeable at certain angles.

Since I'm balling out with Ashe (Samurai), Balthier (White Mage), and either Penelo (Uhlan)/Basch (Ranger) I only have to see Vaan when in cities.

They missed the 10th anniversary of the game so if they're going to plan a XII HD release it'll probably be for its 12th birthday.

And unrelated to that, boy the Bully emulation on PS4 is shoddy. Hits 15fps regularly (not seeing it that bad on PS2 youtube feeds), long load times, and the URL on the PS2 Info guide is wrong making the browser link to an error page.
