I remember stumbling upon that kickstarter a couple years ago. Excited that it's finally coming out! Between this, Persona 5, and Yooka Laylee, my next couple weeks are gonna be busy :D

Alright, so they're doing the sane thing which most of us not on social media was expecting, which was just preventing purchases of new content. Maybe they'd be nice and give a last firmware update for the following systems to give a PS4/PS5 style "Library" option, so we don't have to go through the hell that is the current webstore to find the downloads for a given game, since all three are stuck surfing through the chronologically-ordered vertical list of all owned content.

It still shows a lack of preservation/foresight on Sony's part, and I do hope it pays off for MS so they can do a reversal and follow suit in the future.

Also seriously, fuck the current webstore/PS4 store. Only serves to waste the consumer's time, and on PS4, lag the hell out of my network since they think everyone has a 50mbit connection that wants giant background spreads and large HD videos on every page.

Real talk: Best iterations of the PS stores was the v2 layout on PS3 (the tile grid layout) which loaded quick and cache'd icons so you could quickly see the categories (typically in the same spot every week) and navigate about. That and the initial webstore which had all the filtering options in the world, with quick&easy at-a-glance weekly sales.

Now it's all slow-as-molasses HTML5-driven nonsense programmed by idiots who don't care for speed, and whoever did the webstore revamp thinks people are viewing it on a tiny tablet instead of a PC monitor, requiring excessive scrolling/paging. You want a happy customer? Make it easy for them to sift through the massive store, get descriptions quick (why is a game's filesize not prominently showed on PS4 until you need to download it?), and see what content is available for a given game without going five pages deep.

Vita's store was also acceptable'ish also until they stopped maintaining it (sales page just never got updated at a point and started showing shit not on sale), and thumbnails started breaking everywhere.

Like really, you fucked up when even MS Store on Windows 10 is easier/faster to navigate.

Negative. You can still delete and re-download stuff you've purchased.
You just can't make new purchases. So you need to get anything you want in the next few months. This includes DLCs.

I'd advise waiting for sales if there is anything you want and don't own yet. They are giving out around 10 realllllllly good ps4 games for free right now, with Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition being added soon. It's likely you'll see a super sale or something on the ps3/vita stores before they go.

(Kicking myself now for not grabbing the Suikodens at those prices.)

You can wait until the last few weeks, but don't hope to hard.

Ok, I've gone through what I've got in PS3 store history. Sorry, no picture like Zealot, but my collection, noted if physical or digital.

And a first pass through the PS3 store is showing me it looks like this is what I need to get.
I didn't put on the list anything that has a PS4 or PC version, so no Disgaea, Agarest War, Neptunia, etc.
I don't know the state of the Tales series and if there's anything that you must get the PS3 version (or digital versions of PS1/2 games).

Heading off a couple suggestions at the pass, I have the PSP versions of Breath of Fire 3, Final Fantasy Tactics, & Valkyrie Profile, so don't need those.
