There have been multiple slips every year from various people of various races, and they all point to the same conclusion: PEOPLE ARE RACIST!

Hey, if you don't ever drive into a black or mexican neighborhood, you probably wont be carjacked ever. I'm mexican, and I agree. Not all mexicans and blacks car jack, but the ones that do, live in those neighborhoods.

When America gets past the racism thing, it can progress and deal with the real problems, poor folks here are fucked, doesn't matter what race they are. But we keep hiding the fact that lots of people hold some racist sentiments, it keeps racism in the forefront, where it only hurts progress from happening.

You want to reverse racism? Work towards poor minority neighborhoods getting fixed (streets, crime, education, health care, etc). Then you will see that blacks and mexicans are good people, right now, they (we) are just scumbags willing to do anything to get ahead. And it isn't just the criminals, community leaders are in cahoots with gang leaders to warn of police activity etc. It's seen as a necessary evil, but it needs to change. Police need to change too... read "Gang Leader for a Day". You will see how fucked up blacks are, and it's written by a liberal.

You found it to be racist, because you jumped to the conclusion that third world countries aren't white. Now, the fact that most third world countries aren't white is a coincidence at this point in time. 300 years ago, the US was a third world country, and you see we carried the same traits that third world countries now posses.

Fact remains, poor countries, and poor people in rich countries tend to react violently. The fact that those people tend to be colored is what gives them a bad name. At the same time, we don't see Eastern Europe being near as bad, we invite them in with open arms, even though they are just as savage as any Middle Eastern country or African country.

you were making a distinction between the West and the rest of the world, not so explicitly the third and first world, and you didn't really account for peace movements that originated in third world countries. my argument was mainly that the difference is we like to put a cover on barbarism or only do it in places where we feel comfortably distant from it, whereas in poorer countries it wears no cloak. in that sense it becomes hard to argue for Western superiority.

anyhow, this topic is about the GOP and racism, and my point still stands: the GOP has significantly greater problems with race issues than the Democratic party, and the perception of that is causing them to lose out with minority voters.
