Is it possible to just play Tetra Master without buying FFXI?

i signed up for the 14day trial but cannot access tetra master without a registration code, is it possible to buy just the registration code for tetra master and just subscribe to tetra master or no, do you HAVE to buy the entire game just to play tetra master? thx in advance.

You have to buy a copy of FFXI to get a PlayOnline viewer code to make a permanent account. If you got a Buddy Pass from someone and their Tetra Master code, you could just sign up that way. Tetra Master doesn't require FFXI to play, it just isn't sold seperately.

No, that's only for FFXI. Each Tetramaster Content ID costs 1$ (or wahtever they are taking in the other regions).

Content IDs for different games have their own billing rate. Front Mission Online had its own billing rate seperate from FFXI's. Fantasy Earth and Dirge of Cerberus also has seperate ID fees. IIRC, Dirge of Cerberus was about $8 a month for the first Content ID. You didn't pay $12.95 if you had an FMO ID and no FFXI ID. Tetra Master and Jong Ho Low both have the same monthly fees, and can only have one ID per PlayOnline account. You pay $1 a month for Tetra Master's Content ID, and can only have one on the account.

If you're just playing Tetra Master does it only cost 1 dollar a month if you're not subscribed to XI anymore?

Also, I really hope they bring back TM, preferably the VIII version, and make it in-game for XIV. Make them buyable with gil too.

I've always liked the card games in the FFXI series. I just wish they would have implemented TM into the game. For example, if you find another TM subscriber and go to like a special room (one in each main town) that you could offer to play w/ that person and then it'll bring up the loading screen and enter you into the game, putting you on /away while you play so you don't miss /tells
