The 2009 US Open - Bethpage (Black Course)

Yeah, The weather really boned things up for the weekend, as honestly, I felt the groupings that were forced to play in that sloppy mess for the longest really got cheated out of the course that had great conditions, like some of the top guys in Friday-Saturday.

Anyway, it was a great tourney and I've always loved the US Open because it makes those pros look human instead of them shooting ridiculous 65s every week.

Only thing I really disliked about this Open was that the course could not be maintained in a way typical to the Open, resulting in the difficulty level not being really appropriate for the event nor consistent through the event.

Also sucks that Nick Taylor imploded after a great first two rounds, then again it's amazing that an amateur was on the first page at the cut to begin with.

lol dude -4 won the tourney and Tiger Woods was below par for 1 hole in the entire thing...


a bit inconsistent yeah but... the ball stopping reasonably on greens doesn't make up for it stopping instantly in the fairway and rough, let alone what even the primary rough is like to hit from in that water
