Nah they released a statement saying it was just a facade basically, and the stigs true indentity will remain secret. although i did read that in The Sun... so ....

I read in the Guardian that the Stig has been various F1 drivers through the shows history, Schumacher being one of them. I suppose it's plausible, that way as multi-millionaire racers lose interest/become unavailable to be test drivers and driving instructors for celebrity's laps they can just get a new driver. The show kind of hints at this last season as well when they did the road trip through the US in muscle cars and had the Stig's fat American cousin doing the test lap(I think that's the episode at least).

I agree as well that the Stig is probably multiple different drivers.
