That's how laws get changed.
Way to completely dodge the rest of the argument tho. /goflclap

there's a reason that word is in parenthesis
laws can get changed by people just ignoring them. take the texas sodomy ban that was repealed- I don't think the gays/anal enthusiasts of the fine State of Texas held public buttfucking demonstrations in order to get it passed- no, they just ignored it and carried on doing what they were doing, and eventually everyone (even in texas) realized how stupid the law was and did away with it.
What is that reason?
The reason it's in parentheses is because you realize that the argument completely fails when you just leave it as "people," because 3 people buying something doesn't help shit. So you decided to add in "enough" to make it look like, well, enough.
You should research your shit. People got in trouble for it, and raised a ruckus. It got fixed.laws can get changed by people just ignoring them. take the texas sodomy ban that was repealed- I don't think the gays/anal enthusiasts of the fine State of Texas held public buttfucking demonstrations in order to get it passed- no, they just ignored it and carried on doing what they were doing, and eventually everyone (even in texas) realized how stupid the law was and did away with it.
I stand by my quote and thanks for proving yet again my point, fucking liar. Any individual with common sense will see through your made up bullshit and how you tried to twist it.
I know you pull crap out of your ass to save some face, but this one it's just pathetic. The examples I gave you, that would be my second post in the entire thread, genius, was a reply to your post which was a reply to my first post, got that? It's unedited, so go ahead and check since you claim I added the points "after." Unless... you meant I actually predicted what you were going to post? Gasp! You, lying weasel you.
and if anyone is hurt financially by copyright infringement, the greatest hurt is probably felt by the recording industry (based on them bitching the most while worthwhile artists [this category does not include Ulrich] don't care or actually encourage it), so by just ignoring the law and continuing to download, we are (apparently) destroying the companies that lobby for the shitty laws (DMC act) and prosecute soccer moms.
Also, to get back to this:
Black people didn't just casually slip votes in and ignore the law. They went out and fought for their rights.
If you think you have a right to free music, go out and fight for it. Don't sit on your ass stealing shit and compare yourself to some of the greatest Americans in history.
Sooo...if you're not willing to be a martyr you can't be opposed to a law?
yes, your first post you made the shit generalization/terrible argument, then after I called you on it you made a couple exceptions toout of it. In my subsequent post, I told you that if you need to
with the clarifications then that's fine, but that you're still a shitty poster, which you most certainly are (just reminding you).
nice try here kiddo but fuck off with your weaseling. you made a stupid fucking point/argument/whatever so either admit it sucks or just quit.
Go right ahead, just don't go comparing saving yourself some cash by getting shit for free to fighting for your rights.
No, beckwin, you're simply making straw men.
Nowhere did he state that being illegal is what makes it wrong.
It's exactly like how you turned me saying people will stop paying for music if they can get it free into absolutely everyone everywhere under all circumstances will stop ever paying for music no matter what if they can get it for free.
It's really rather hilarious to watch though, especially because when you realize your strawmen and semantics bullshit won't work you just turn to insults and telling people to go away.
and there are law school teams working on ways to beat the RIAA lawsuits. I'm not a lawyer. in a consumer based capitalist society, one effective way of protesting a corporation is with your consumerism; don't buy what you don't support.
but no, again, the only way to change things is by demonstrating. and if you don't demonstrate for something it means you don't really support it. or something.
Either you can't read, or get your head out of your rectum. Oh, and I never claimed I was an "excellent," or even "good" poster, no sr. But you know what? At least I'm not a pathetic loser telling lies and twisting others' words to get my point across, I bet you that helps you sleep at night, doesn't it? Fucking weasel.
I wasn't attempting to change the direction at all, I simply pointed out that it was a terrible example, and you wanted to argue that it wasn't.
Note how I've been arguing other shit the whole page and you're just trying to talk shit about me calling you out on your bad example?
Speaking of red herrings...
