Gonna start up a Final Fantasy title on PSX, which should I play?

In all honesty I'm leaning towards 7 again, and actualy getting gold chocobo and defeating red and green


was playing OoT at home (PSP is for work) but I missed 2 hearts somewhere and I'm annoyed, as it's all I'm missing before climbing Ganon's tower and doing 2nd form



I've never properly given 8 or 9 a chance, I kinda like the newer style rather than nintendo graphics of the old ones but most fanboys seem to like 4, 6 or FFT

also If you say 10, which I really liked, give me a decent link to a ps2 emu

I love love love the materia system in 7 and the expanding materia chart in 10 (I forget the correct name) I really enjoyed, and I've heard the card system or w/e is pretty garbage in 8 or 9, whichever it was

does tactics pick up? it seems pretty easy and I just kept goong from village to village accepting quests and really kinda not knowing what the point was or what i was building toward

this is the obvious choice but as I'd really only be doing it for a complete save, rather than a new story/play experience I'm hoping to hear something tha changes my mind:\

4 and 6... the big deal is nostalgia, no lie.
I loved the games, but going back through them I was not able to enjoy them nearly as much.
7 still provided much entertainment with the golden saucer and materia system... each time I go through I'm able to try combos I didn't previously try and come up with all kinds of new shit.

Yeah, FF9's characters are pretty retarded... couldn't get into at all since characters are what drive the games for me.

I liked Barret, Cid, Yuffie and Red XIII from VII, Irvine, Quistis and Kiros from VIII so that kinda stuff was enough to keep me interested.

9 had... uhh...

I may just do that, as I like the 'prettier' looking games, if I see another blue screen with 7 pixel white writing and a character with about 25 pixels, I will shit



I was messing around with my Nintendo emu, playing some mario 3 and Tetris original (still can't beat that btw....) and I tried Link or the 1st Zelda and just couldn't do it

contra is still awesome though, but I kinda didn't want to play since up up down down left right b a start didn't work (and yes I tried left right left right, neither seem to work on emu)
