    Free internet hotspots?

So, I'm at my grandma's house for the summer and her DSL service fucking sucks. I've been doing nothing but get d/c'd since the whole time I've been here and it's really pissing me off because I can't play XI for more than half an hour w/o d/c'ing. (and atm more than 2 minutes w/o d/c'ing). I need somewhere I can go and sit down and use the internet w/o worryin about a damn connection. I tried goin to the Library here, but for some reason my laptop won't connect to their server and they don't troubleshoot, only confirm that the service is working so that's out. Starbucks you have to pay + only get 2 hours or some shit for wireless. All the damned neighbors here have passwords on their shit so I'm kinda stuck now.

I get better connection leeching from my neighbor's house in Florida than what my grandma pays for here its ridiculous.

You should probably try to get her isp to fix this issue first. In the meantime, there is wifi at pretty much any starbucks and most universities and colleges by now

Been tryin to do that the past 2 weeks now. AT&T fuckin blows balls and she won't change it cause the satellite channels they get she wants. They took half a week to come here after I called the first time and was constantly d/c'ing. After the guy left, it went from constantly d/c'ing to not working at all. I call the same day and they can't get anyone out till thursday (This was teusday). Thursday comes and they don't show up. I call and cussed someone out. Then they said they'd have someone here on Monday the 22nd and I told them they could suck my dick on monday and to put a manager on the phone. Manager says Friday. So Friday comes, nobody shows up I call and they say oh we entered the dispatch date in incorrectly someone will be there on saturday. Saturday comes (yesterday) and the guy comes and now we're online again, but the original fucking problem is just the same as it was before I called the first time

Just drive around and check local restaurants, fast food places and stores. You'll find free internet in no time.

local coffee shops are good too, there's a chain of Cups around me that all have free wi-fi and are actually known for it. Best free wifi in a cafe/restaurant for a few years now.

If I worked for AT&T and someone, who isn't the account holder at that, raged at me like this when I didn't cause their problems, I would make sure the dispatch date kept getting deleted by "accident"

OT: If you subscribe to AT&T internet you can access their Wireless Hot Spots for free. AT&T Wi-Fi Find some hotspots there.

I'm not sure on the stability of them, but if you had some extra money(defeats the purpose of free >.>), maybe invest in an aircard? you could still then play at your grandma's, but not deal with her internet

drive into a nice neighborhood and find some clod who hasn't password protected their wireless, this option is, of course, illegal though.

oh, already tried this lmao, but nowhere close enough to an outlet and it won't play ffxi long on battery alone

As for the AT&T wifi, didn't know about that, thanks!

All Barnes and Noble stores charge, and I'm nearly positive Borders does also.

learn to crack WEP/WPA, from what i understand they're somewhat easy to crack if you have the right tools, especially WEP although it's not used as much since WPA/WPA2 and all the fancier new ones
