LM-17 wtf

I get this error when I use different versions of POL which the account was created with. For example, I recently took over a friends account (Canadian) and I'm EU, and if I try to edit his details on my version of POL (The EU one), I get the UCS5000 error, which means I cannot update payment info, cancel/reactivate IDs, etc... I resolved this by downloading the US version of POL which let me bypass it completely, and everything works fine. I can log into his account with the EU version of POL, but I need the US version to edit his info. I imagine this is the same with JP accounts too, and visa versa.

A friend of mine had the reverse situation (he was taking over an EU account). He just faked his POL into being a EU account, changed the info, then switched it back to NA. Region account limitations are stupid.

It didn't get "deleted," it got banned, apparently for more than "I'm just another CC victim!" as others have gotten their accounts back, and well....you haven't. So I don't buy your whole "i didnt do shit se suxxors lulz" story either.

Any previous flags on the account? Anyone complain about you?

well... week ago I got LM-17 and I was like (wtf I got out of my mog house and just got disconnected for no reason) I spoke to them and they told me that they banned me for illegal activity, I told them I just got out of my mog house, is that illegal? few seconds and I recieved an e-mail from SE telling me that ban was because of my credit card, I told them on web that because of my visa and they said that ban will be lifted after few hours or 1 day max.
the LM-17 changed to LM-21 ( not sure of the number but it's for activation) I spent 3 days trying to reactivate my account but it was only giving erro number USC-60257
"The server is busy or you have entered incorrect information"
I double checked my info, I called the bank 3 times and everything was ok, I had enough fund that can be enough for 2 characters atleast but still getting the same erros.
I have told to try every 30 minutes
is there anyone having the same problem?

Had this problem myself with two of my accounts. Reactivated one account with my Visa Debit card, second account wouldn't take the account. Waited three days, trying at various times during the day but hours between each attempt. Wasn't working, nor was it taking any other card of mine.

I went to the local CVS Pharmacy and bought a Greendot card. Activated it in about 10minutes on the phone with the automated service, plugged in the information to POL and it worked instantly.

Whether you want to take this path and then update your information once the account is ready is up to you. But Greendot worked for me.

If what you are saying is accurate, maybe someone deleted your account after hacking into it or using your password info. If you shared your account with anyone, might check with them to see if they maliciously deleted it.

He MAY contact you again 3+ months later. But he won't unlock your account. I don't think I've ever seen a case where trying to contact him resulted in anything positive.

He was gonna give me an address, probably mr bisby? Anyway hopefully shit will be good when they supposedly call me in the next few days after unban.

Thanks for idea but I don't think I have the Greendot in my country. my friend has the same CC of mine and he had no problem using it. I'll try to contact them on the web to check if my CC has been blocked, then i'll change the CC.

Yes, got it friday. They refunded my charges for this month though, since they charged on the 2nd and banned on the 3rd, I'm apparently waiting for someone to call me and say if they are unbanned or not. If not, goodbye ffxi, fuck you and your shitty fucking service and your shitty fucking STF.

I'm one of those that posted on the Alla site regarding my LM-17 from last night apparently because of my gardening mules. My husband used the 15 mules on my account to grow ice ore/platinum leaf which he then sells to fund his relic horn. He has 15 mules on his main also, as well as on a friends' account that was given to him when the friend quit FFXI. Neither one of those accounts were banned, however when he called in to SE, the POL ID of his own account was linked to mine because of the so-called RMT activity.

Beware to anyone with gardening mules... they have sunk to a new low by these bannings. I'm not saying that RMT's don't use gardening mules, but to do mass bannings just because you have gardening mules seems ridiculous to me.

It's such poor business to ban these accounts for the gardening mules, because gardening even in large quantities of mules, is not the most "get rich quick" scheme. I average 20-25k per character every week, deducting the cost of my seeds which is about 3.5k a stack so I would need several accounts to make significant strides gil-wise.

Yea the account that got banned for me was a gardening account and they said it was banned do to rmt activity...so nice SE ban legit players cause they garden.

By the way I have never sold what I've gotten from harvests to NPCs on the mules. Only thing I did was ah crap like crystals on the banned account.

Annewandering of Garuda got banned on 6 July.

Anybody who knows Anne knows that she's as honest a player as there is in the game. She uses gardening and crafting mules, just like most of us, but she's no RMT.

She's a very sweet retired lady with a husband and son with major health problems, and the game is her major social activity.

She has to be careful with money and uses some form of prepaid debit card. I suspect that this is where the problem lies: an accounts receivable department that is almost as bad as Yahoo's and that can't handle the card numbers changing frequently.

If anybody from the Square Enix Community Team is reading this: get this issue resolved pronto.

There is/was a thread here called "New RMT Exploit or gimmick" also reflecting the rmt activity related to bastok gil garden rmt and the effect on nearby players. There are people who posted up that they are gardening wildgrass for npc sales just fine.

Still, I would not be surprised if legitimate players are getting lumped with the mass amount of people gardening and selling the crops flat out. Perhaps they do not distinguish anymore.

A while back, I accidentally got all wildgrass from 10 pots trying to grow something else. Paranoid yes, but I refused to sell it to npc because I did not want to be confused for rmt.

If you are gardening en mass for gil, maybe spend some time leveling the character or don't sell things in bastok to that galka RSE dealer if you are.

Just like Remedy, Cherry Muffins and mob blood in prior updates, I think npc buy back price on wildgrass crops will get cut this update.

I notice that some of those banned had bought other accounts, this may be part of an RMT signature.

More than likely these gardening accounts are being flagged because they are acting in an RMT-like pattern. That is, they have multiple characters with a single purpose designed to replicate a particular action. Since SE doesn't recognize "mules" as players do, so all they see are multiple characters sending off hoardes of gil/items to a single character that collects it.

Based on testimonials, it's not limited to the number of mules (I've heard as few as 5 and as many as two full accounts), or the types of seeds, or the yield.
