More than likely these gardening accounts are being flagged because they are acting in an RMT-like pattern. That is, they have multiple characters with a single purpose designed to replicate a particular action. Since SE doesn't recognize "mules" as players do, so all they see are multiple characters sending off hoardes of gil/items to a single character that collects it.

So maybe my practice of leaving gil with my mules and only sending out what is needed, as it is needed, is the way to go.

I'm going to guess a few things (correct me if I'm wrong).

- To sign up for the free trial, you have to enter a credit card for when the trial expires

- When the trial expires, the RMT can no longer use that account for these /tell's

- Their credit card gets charged 12.95 for the first month, which is either a fake credit card or a prepaid with 0 balance.

- RMT causes a chargeback to SE.

- SE gets a TON of chargebacks

- SE assumes ALL chargebacks are RMT (smooth move, guys)

- Most RMT's get banned (yay) but a lot of real players who have had credit card issues get banned too for RMT activity. (boo!)

Good attempt, SE, but fix it, please.

Ok! I have deleted my 7 mules, those mules were in the same ID with my main. I used to gardening on those mules + my main and sell the harvested items to NPC,since those stupid STF team consider it RMT activity, I will stop doing this ;/
i'm sure in the future they'll come with a new stupid thing and ban lots of people

Nope.

-No credit card is needed to sign up. Just personal information and an email address to get the trial account registration codes.

-When the 14 days expire, you THEN need a credit card to reactivate and actually play your trial characters. Or you just ditch the account and don't need to do anything further.

-No credit card is involved, so this is not part of the process.

I'm one of those that posted on the Alla site regarding my LM-17 from last night apparently because of my gardening mules. My husband used the 15 mules on my account to grow ice ore/platinum leaf which he then sells to fund his relic horn. He has 15 mules on his main also, as well as on a friends' account that was given to him when the friend quit FFXI. Neither one of those accounts were banned, however when he called in to SE, the POL ID of his own account was linked to mine because of the so-called RMT activity.

Beware to anyone with gardening mules... they have sunk to a new low by these bannings. I'm not saying that RMT's don't use gardening mules, but to do mass bannings just because you have gardening mules seems ridiculous to me.

SE have mentioned in an interview before that they do read emails, and usually take action on the stuff that becomes apparent (aka from having too many emails on the same subject ) so please send SE a letter describing the situation as follows:
