    Yep we were. If the name on the account & cc are the same, I don't know wtf they're whining about & banning you over. Everybody else's banning that I've heard of was due to the names not matching up on account registration & payment info.

    However, SE's call center doesn't seem to have details, just "irregular activity" stamped on the file. <3 their lack of communication & over-generalizations.

    They've setup a new online chat interface specifically for people with LM-17s, it's supposed to be "expedited service" but I've been waiting for 45 minutes now.

    Took 2 hours before someone responded but I was unbanned in about 5 minutes when I had been previously told that the account was under investigation for irregular activity. If you are still LM-17d for Credit card issues, contact them ASAP!

    So my account has switched from LM-17 to LM-21 (Account closed due to unpaid fees) and now whenever I try reactivate it by entering new payment information that IS verified by visa I get a UCS-60257 (Gives 3 possible explanations: Billing Server is Busy/Card is invalid/Card cannot be used). So I call my bank and they say that yes they have flagged my account for suspicious activities because of numerous $1.00 holds placed by Square Enix, which ironically enough have been placed there by their new Verified by Visa system!

    So I talk to a supervisor at my bank and they tell me that they have placed an override on my account to allow any charges through for the next 48 hours. I attempt to enter my new payment information again and receive the same UCS-60257 error so now I'm in the Special Issue Chat Support queue again waiting my turn to find out wtf is going on. This has got to be some huge sick joke, there's no way a real company would let a billing system like this would go into production completely untested and non-functional -_-

    Final update from me on this. Waited one hour and attempted with the same CC information and it worked. I'm guessing that my bank had lifted the restrictions immediately but SE had a time limit before it would attempt a repeated charge again. Either way I've got my character back now and that's what matters.

    No they charge you for the month you're about to play, I had to get a refund for the account that was banned. I asked the CSR on the billing, so unless she was BS'ing me....(lol SE cs...) she said they bill you for the current month, one you're about to use.

    Now you're making me second guess myself. The person I spoke with at SE said they charge you at the beginning of the month for the previous month you played, hence reactivating a character will cause you to be charged at the start of next month.

    They always charge at the start of the month for anything, for the add-on I just barely got billed for the Moogle one, and looking at my past fees for reactived and fresh mules....it shows they charge for the month it was made it or reactived and for the current month IE this month you're about to use.

    So from what I'm looking at and from what the CSR told me it's the one you're about to use, not already used.

    I did, was told it was that but then told RMT and got the account back and it's gardening again...just with lvled mules now -_-

    Yes, I was originally banned on the 28th 10ish EDT the same time as everyone else with an e-mail stating it was for creditcard chargeback issue (it turned out that it was for declined payment because I got a new card NOT chargeback). They originally gave me the irregular activity bullshit, but upon contacting their new special issue chat yesterday, my account was unlocked after giving first/last 4 CC + name on the card.

    Why yes! I had 48 mules banned and recovered. Called se, they told me irregular activity. Bitched at them a bit and then told me it was for rmt. Bitched at them some more and got ban complaint thing going on. Bitched some more and got that month refunded. Then got mules back seven days later.

    Haha sounds like mine but not 48 mules only one account got hit.

    Yes, gave it back to me with a warning. However, I dont know why I was even banned in the first place >.>

    Its been a month or two since they sent those charge back email, which I resolved with the chat customer service by giving my ID and credit card (2 days after the chargeback ban emails). (Present day 8/13/09)So I wanted to keep in touch with a people on my friendlist and I log on to POL to message them and lo-behold I see LM-17 again. WTF is going on with SE? If this crap follows onto FF14 they can keep the game and shove it up their ass.

    Back on topic anyone have any update?
