I don't think their auto-banning system discriminates the playerbase. If it gets NA's, it gets JP's as well.

Since both communities are quite isolated we don't really know their status on this.

Didn't elmer's Q&A pointed out that JPs also complain about how SE likes their "NA" customers? "NA says wtf wtf and SE fixes it."

SE customer service in the US seems unable to take action on many ban complaints. I wonder if JP Customer Service is better? At the very least JPs can put their complaint into the system in Japanese, making it easier for reviewers to read and understand the complaint.

In my experience, the customer service agent in a companies home nation have more access to resources they need to fix problems and make informed decisions. This is often due to language, easier access to developers and experts, as well as time zones.

^ This has been happening to a lot lately. For some reason it triggers when I am on wireless connection so I just bought a long ass cable and playing on a wired one.

Just wait for a GM, he'll tell you that their system fucked up and release you. If you are on wireless you may want to stick to a regular cable connection for now.

Glad you got released and I hope they remove those marks or don't mark your account history. The pigtails comment was adorable btw.
How did you call the gm if it prohibits gm calls? Did you wait until he called you first, saying it was accidental?

I've confirmed that with the GM, failjailings don't leave any marks on an account.

You can call GM from one of your mules or from your main after the investigation.

How long is that though? Minutes? Hours? Days?

I did not know if the hour notations on his chatlog screen shot were from the same day. It looks like the conversation took place while he was still in jail so I did not understand how the call was made since README gm says no gm calls allowed. There is also the chatlog "GM call sent" in the within jail chatlog text.. so I am confused. Perhaps it was because the suspension was not acted on, that he could follow the "Once your suspension has been processed and lifted, login and place a GM call...," instructions?

I assume this is when he logged in AFTER the suspension was over. The "Readme" NPC right there is telling him that when you log in after your suspension, call a GM and they'll let you out. So the real question is, how long was the suspension?

Yeah that was my first guess too but then his excitement {over not being suspended?} appeared as if it was excitement over not being suspended. This made me think the suspension was canceled early.

"Your account will soon be suspended due to this violation." -chatlog entry shortly before the gm call is placed in the same log ss.
[02:20:01] (cut message to accent part I am referring to)...We will not be accepting any GM calls from this account at this point in time.
    [02:21:05] Call Sent. The GM's Currently have 33 calls..etc.

It appears as if he was able to make a GM call where it stated moments ago, he could not. This is what I was referring to, sorry to confuse everyone.

Ahh thank you! I misread the chatlog timestamps, that explains it.

First one(last year) was immediate, second one took around a day(maybe shorter, I just logged off after GM asked me to wait).

You can call GM from one of your mules at ANYTIME, but they'll just tell you that it may take up to a few days.

There is no suspension. You can still log onto your account or play your mules at anytime. They investigate while you are at jail, and release you after(assuming that you didnt POS, bot or whatever).

About "No GM calls will be accepted at this time" part...they do take GM calls when their system screws up and jails multiple random people by mistake.

The GM's in WoW are actually helpful. I thought I fucked up a quest one day because I thought I sold a quest item. I called a GM and the GM went through my quest log with me and helped me figure out what happened to the quest item. Turns out I completed the quest and just didn't know it.

It's amazing how one company's customer service can vary so hard from another's.

WoW's GMs can be helpful, but depending on what's been going on in the game (new patches, new UI features, etc.), the call volume can be ridiculous. It's taken me multiple days to get a response in some cases. I've had limited exposure with GMs in both games (more so in WoW, which having played FFXI a hell of a lot more than WoW, is odd), but FFXI GMs have consistently been a hell of a lot more expedient, and in all cases the GMs were helpful. (I've never been in trouble with a GM, so who knows how that would go in either case.)

Yeah WoW GMs are really fucking slow to respond, but when they do, they are almost always helpful.

Makes you think they are actually spending time helping people instead of brushing off with canned answers so they can keep a quick response time. >.>

But days. Not game days, not a day, fucking days. And as in one case my account was hacked, some of those responses just happened to be canned responses anyway.

Speaking of, is this an actual issue? I have full-time access to a friend's account I use to power level and I've left his credit card on (simply paying him the difference) in case I'd have issues switching it to my card. I could get all of his information including registration codes and such, but I don't want to have any issues.
