Got the game at 9:30pm, went over to my buddies who has a HD tv to play it, played for a good 4hrs or so, in the Cathedral but havnt gotten to Tiamat yet. I have to say the game is freaking fun as hell combat wise. I love hitting O to preform the fatality and not having to hit anything else, lets you enjoy it so much more. My one gripe is the counter system, enemies seem to attack very fast and I havnt really figured out what I can block/counter from the big guys and what I cant, so I end up just dodge dashing around.
Also I didnt get any code, was it just random? I got my game from Wal-mart.
I'm about 2.5ish hours in, just got to the underground part of the first flight sequence. Really fun game so far, and the story isn't lacking at all either.
Ok I am stuck
Spoiler: show
nevermind got it... that was a bitch of quickness you had to do there...
finally picked this up at lunch today. hella excited to get home from work today
Bleh, stuck again. For anyone who's gone through the Hollows, how do you get through the puzzle with the giant crystal stuck in the gate in the roof and the inert bombs? The big crystal doesn't break with explosives, and I can't reach the platform with the blue and red crystals.
Which boss was the hollows again? Griever?
The more and more I play Im just absolutley loving this game, the color, art style and the combat is very fun. I just wish there was a lock on button i didnt have to hold down. Just click and lock on.
Is this the room with the two gears on either side, shallow pool of water on the ground (really shallow, as in you can't even swim in it, you just run I think) and the large piece of debris wedged in the ceiling?
If it is, you:
*Smash the one ice block on the left side
*Go to the back of the room, smash all the crystals there.
*Throw the unlit bomb on the red crystal on the wall, on the opposite side of the room.
*Jump back to the platform with the first gear (the only one you can get to) and you'll see three gas pipe leaks, only one of which is lit.
*Light the unlit one on the platform you're standing on with your crossblade.
*Do the same for the unlit one at the entrance of the room.
*Now blow up the red crystals on the wall with the newly lit pipe and the bomb you threw on it earlier.
*Grab on to the wall, jump up to that third little railing on the wall that you can grab on to, then run over and jump on the second platform.
*Smash the ice here with your tremor gauntlet.
The ceiling should open and the big ass thing up top will smash through the floor.
EDIT: Although be careful after you smash. The first time I did this, I jumped off right after the mini-cutscene of the thing falling through the floor ended and my game glitched, I was falling through nothingness endlessly. Last time I'd saved was an hour and a half before. Thankfully there was some autosave file I was able to load, otherwise I would've been pissed.
I dunno what you guys are saying about Tiamat being really fucking hard or something, it wasn't that big of a deal for me
I think I got hit like 3 times? On Normal btw
Awesome fucking game, best action game in a long time
yeah once I figured out the trick Tiamat was easy as shit. I didn't realize you could do the thing where she lunges at you multiple times so I kept trying to fight her up close.
ruin is fkn awesome
ineeeeed
anyone else having problems leveling up their scythe/gauntlet? My sword is level 3 already, but it takes me forever to get exp on the other weapons even with the mod that increases weapon exp. If max level for both of them is 4 it's gonna take a loooooong time to max out
Ok fucking Silitha can burn in hell (note I only tried once, needed to make dinner and had been planning to take a break for awhile). I think I got her thing down but every once in awhile she still catches me :/ oh and grappler is nice to have finally![]()
Found a really good way to skill up the Chaoseater, while fighting the Stygian, when you slash his sides, it still levels up your weapon even though you don't do any damage. He's really easy to avoid at that point because he won't summon his babies until later and theres very little risk.
Wow Silthia is like 1000x easier the second go around, maybe I was just too taken aback by her pattern the first time...
