So anyone gonna try to beat it on Apocalyptic without abyss armor?
I should have played it on Apocalyptic, but I wanted to take it easy for a first playthrough. Didn't realize that Normal should have been named Easy and that the Abyssal Armor takes two levels of difficulty off of the game.
Just gonna speed run through the game on Apocalyptic with Abyssal Armor for the trophy and try to get the Aerial Predator trophy.
Also, does anyone know in terms of the "Improvised Kills" achievement/trophy, is there a particularly good place to do that one? Do all the kills need to be on a single playthrough? I'm finding it a little on the annoying side, since environmental weapons don't seem to respawn.
Im bad about not going back through games to get trophies, because they dont really matter much to me and I ignored trying to get that one.
just finished it, when is 2 out?
I really regretted playing it on Normal, was way too easy but now it's a pretty good challenge. I didn't think I was going to hang on to this game but I definitely see myself replaying it down the years.
Crossroads is a good spot for that achievement. Just throw cars at the lowbie zombies there and it should one shot them. Theres also red demons; just get them to the point where you have to hit B to kill them then hit them with a street lamp or a car.
For Aerial Predator make a separate save file so you can keep attempting it whenever you want. Also use the kill count in the menu (select button) to see how much you got left.
Finally got 1000/1000. w00t
Does the "kill 50 enemies with these cars" arena count?
They count towards your total, yes.
Also, since we're on the topic, I found this little guide for it in case it's of any help to anyone else.

Kill 150 enemies with items from the environment
This trophy can be a pain for some. Simply use any environmental objects on your journey and use it on weak enemies. A good way to guarantee an environmental kill is to combo your enemies until they show a http://www.ps3trophies.com/forums/im...ton-circle.png on top of their heads. Now their one hit away from death so grab an environmental object and kill them with it. Another good way for this trophy is during the beginning of the game when Vulgrim asks you to collect 500 souls, simply kill all the Wicked with environmental objects, now save the game and quit to main menu, then reload and the objects will respawn. Do this a few times to guarantee the objects respawning. If you do this anyother time after, the objects won't all respawn, only very few.

Ohh Yahtzee, love the humor and makes me chuckle because I thought the same things about Zelda and Portal, but I always get the sense he never actually PLAYS any of the games he reviews.
The minute I saw Darksiders when I did my Wednesday check of ZP, I knew there'd be a comment about the Voidwalker sub weapon. And boy was I right.
I don't recall who said they really enjoyed the portal-making puzzles in The Black Throne, but I absolutely loathed it. It was almost offensive how horrible the portals were implemented. Some launched you 10 stories up from walking in the other side while others barely crapped you out the other end. And shooting portals through portals was so inconsistent and glitchy. The Voidwalker was the only thing I felt was a blatant ripoff, even with all the similarities with Zelda.
If you need to be reminded why Yahtzee reviews are of comedic value only, watch the Uncharted 2 review.
That being said, I did notice the dash attack is basically to Darksiders what the crowbar was to Bioshock: you don't need to use anything else unless the game forces you, or you want to make the game harder.
